I’m in the south upper and hoping to sit, but I’m in the third row from the wheelchair row so very near the front.
Glad someone else thinks the same , am looking at blocks 202 or 203 upper sections anybody out there intending to stand in the upper sections of those blocks let me know and I will look elsewhere.

I’m in the South Upper. Think the view will be just as good as the north. I intend to sit too. I don’t see any reason why the whole of the south will be standing just because the lower part might be converted to that in the future.

So you’d suggest that someone with, let’s say, 600 loyalty points but only 6 years as an ST holder could be more entitled than someone with 12 years as an ST holder but only about 150 loyalty points because, on top of the circa £10k spent on season tickets, cup and away games were just too much of an extra expense in the past few seasons?

If they want to all 19 league games for 5 years and no additional cup games, they'd have 220 points. So No, the 10 year season ticket holder isn't that loyal other than handing over money.

just counted them....48 sold so far...JOKE!!
whats the club gonna do with all those unsold seats?

A) there's been more than 48 sold.
B) They'll get offered to the rest of the 40k people on line for an automatic season ticket and, if there are any left by the time us in phase 8 are done, they'll get offered to 50k more people in a waiting list.

They will all sell and you won't be able to say "see, I told you so"

I think it depends entirely on how quickly the lower part sells out. Let's say it's gone by the end of phase 4. Where are all the people in phases 5-8 who want to stand going to book?

The 1 point for going to home league games was only introduced this year. So that person would only have 125 + however many home league games we had before February this year (12ish?)

Well it will have to be towards the back of the South Upper as all the front rows are pretty much gone, or the very front of the south as still quite a few seats there

Precisely. Once those front rows are gone (which seems like a matter of time), people will just move further up - and possibly right towards the back as that's where the sub-£1000 seats are. I think that's going to cause a lot of conflict.

Gonna stand in the south as that’s where the atmosphere is. Probably lower gonna be sold out so we will have to go upper

since they announced the ticket allocation and prices you have been a right bundle of joy:whistle:

i really hope by the time it comes round to your phase you get a ticket you can afford and you become a little happier, because I know there are a lot of people out there that would dream of having a ticket, but can't afford it due to reasons beyond their control.

i got my usual ticket, sat in front of a computer watching it via a stream if i can ever get a decent fucking internet service:ROFLMAO:

I had a look at the sales pattern today, as I'm in Phase 4 and we start Wednesday morning. I used to be in Block G, East Upper, level with the edge of the penalty area (great for offsides...) and I'd hoped to replicate my position in the new place, but I'm struck by the fact that the blocks I want (528 or 529) have largely sold, except for the back rows, whereas the corresponding blocks at the north end of the East Upper, 523 & 524, have loads of free seats.

The only difference I can detect is that 528 & 529 are near the Park Lane (Kop) noise - which is one reason why I originally chose to sit there. It looks as if I'll either have to pay a hell of a lot more money to sit in block 527 (if there are seats left) or move to the northern part of the Shelf.

Has anyone got any other explanation for the disparity in sales between blocks 528/529 and blocks 523/524?

I'm not particularly unhappy as such any more haha, just trying to be realistic here. The South Upper is honestly not where I'd pick if for whatever reason standing wasn't as feasible for me and I wanted to make sure I could be sitting down 99% of the time. It might be okay, but it caused real issues at West Ham when they moved so I don't think it's exactly fearmongering either.

Thanks though! And yes definitely, I know I'm lucky to be in there at all, it's those very people who I know can't afford it that made me so annoyed at the decision to begin with.

No, I think you're probably right. Hopefully you can get seats where you want them though! I think most of the sales have happened on the first day of the phases so with any luck you can get something near the middle of 528 or 529 which still has some availability now, or failing that at least not right at the back. Other ones you could maybe look at would be 502 or 503 in the West since they have the same price, view etc and are just as close to the Park Lane? Obviously not the tradition of the Shelf but might be better than the alternatives if they happen to have more availability once your phase rolls round.

the ones it has really hit are the new season ticket holders of last season, and to be honest the east stand. there is no way they could of punished the west stand by making it still so cheap in the east. they also have to pay the players and they will see an increase, as not every player will want a near on 200% pay rise like Toby. most will be happy with a just over the 100% increase if they match what they have offered him.

What’s the highest row in the south stand people would go before it starts to get a bit ‘up in the gods’?

I do want to be in the South stand as I feel it’s going to be quite iconic.

Debating whether to move slightly to a corner view (still south stand) to get a row in the 50’s

Do people think a slight corner view is good? I keep changing my mind!

I know that there will be some people that have bought in the south stand that will disagree, but I would love to see pretty much all of that end standing during matches. It will do so much for the atmosphere. I just hope it doesn't lead to situations like what happened at the London Stadium where there was fighting due some people standing and others weren't. I personally like to sit through most of the match so will be hopefully buying mine anywhere else other than the south stand just for that reason, but as I'm in phase 7 I'll be happy with whatever I can get really, bar the 1882 silly seats.

I was a new ST holder from last year in a cheap seat at Wembley so it is likely to go up a lot for me, and yeah the Shelf Side being no more is a real shame :( I get why they've done this but if the East Lower could've been a standing section too with somewhat cheaper tickets that would've been amazing - the standing would justify it not matching the West and I think you'd get a much better atmosphere and fewer people trying to stand in other areas, but alas that almost certainly doesn't make commercial sense.

Personally I think the view's actually better in the corners but that's a matter of taste.
