Why is everyone going on like this a low bid? For an 17yr old who's never played a minute in the top tier, I think £35m is more than fair.
If it is £35m then at least half of that will be add ons, and then it starts to look a lot more reasonable in that we only pay that figure if he makes it.
A £35m up front deal would be ludicrous.
We paid nearly £40,000,000 For 19 year old Davison Sanchez, who hadn't played a minute of premier league football. Why is everyone going on like this a low bid? For an 17yr old who's never played a minute in the top tier, I think £35m is more than fair.
Never really seen him play but have somehow got myself really excited at the thoughts of us getting him. It was the same with Bale and he turned out alright

To be fair, Matt Law is a good journo with some pretty extensive contacts. The telegraph are usually pretty conservative in their rumour mongering. We have been linked with Sessegnon extensively over a number of years, so I have no doubt we have put some sort of offer in.And of course, the first thing the club thought of doing was to contact Matt Law.

Kolasinac - is that the one you're thinking of?In terms of whether we could land him. If you assume he wants to stay in England for now and go to a "Big 6" club: United are buying Rose so they won't be in for him; Liverpool have unearthed Robertson in that position so won't be in for him; City/Chelsea could outgun us, but he would worry about getting first team chances and the plight of their other local talent. Arsenal just bought Koscelniak (sp?) and, well, they are Scum. I figure we must a pretty attractive proposition if we pay the right price?
