This one has stuck with me since last night. Getting a bit confusing as to who said what last night but there was mention of a player who 'made a mistake' he now regrets and another club being furious if we pulled it off.
His current absurd wages wouldn't matter if he feels he made a big error going to China. He'll have collected north of 20m in one year in China. We almost bought him before Chelsea who came in and made an offer that was more than double ours so we have had long standing interest. Chelsea would perhaps be furious if he came back to the PL with us.
There has been reports that Chinese clubs have to fire sale their overpaid players to get rid of debt of which Oscars team is one of them.
Long long shot, but hey ho
Was it an ITK that said that on here? Can't see how we'd get near Oscar when he was bought for £60m... Even if he is after less wages I can't see that coming off. There would be a lot of other suiters who could offer better wages and the fee...
