Hopefully some more will break through before hinthis lad should hopefully be our next talent, would be great to have a lad like this on the bench in cup games and if in a comfy position in the match give him 20-30 mins.
Hopefully some more will break through before hin
At his age he still has time before he gets to the first team level
I agree with the "if you're good enough you're old enough" saying but equally I don't think young talents should be rushed before they're ready and their development needs to be well managed
I hope there are more coming through before him but yes I agree - I hope in time he becomes a top class player for us, he seems a very exciting young player
going back 40yrs I could name our reg u21's, reserve team, and our 1st team, unfortunately now days I don't know much about our squads below, and due not having the time to read as much as some do on this site have never got round to following our youth team threads.
but as you said "if good enough, you're old enough". perhaps now days development does need to be managed, but if he has got that something special (age of Wayne Rooney), that even those above him haven't quite got, you could actually stop his development, and help someone pinch him for pennies, because they are willing to give him a chance.
contract duration?

worryingWaiting for him to sign his first year scholar papers for next year. Around 6 have confirmed waiting on another 6/7. Then he can sign a pro contract when he turns 17.
So currently he is not secured apart from what we believe to be gentlemans agreement between top academies in England not to poach each others players.
