The Goat hears a few snippets, some of which we already knew or is pretty obvious but nevetheless, here it is.
Tim and Levy are barely speaking. He won't be our manager next season.
The dressing room is very unhappy and some players have been frozen out entirely for reasons they don't understand.
Ade is off to Monaco at the end of the season.
We've had an approach from PSG for Lloris. He had no idea what our response has been.
Verts wants out. Don't know if we've had any offers for him though.
The Goat has had his earhole whispered into, some of which fleshes out yesterdays bits.
Lloris is more likely to go to Monaco than PSG now that Valdes is injured. (Hugo's brother plays just down the road in Nice)
Kaboul is looking like he'll be released.
Capoue - was close to joining Napoli on deadline day in January. A deal was agreed in principle for around 9m but at the last minute Daniel Levy upped it to 14m, plus clauses for champions league qualification, Serie A winners etc and a big sell on fee.
The whole thing about Sherwood not knowing who he (Capoue) is etc when he picked Bentaleb drove him insane and they had words a few times about it. The whole Bentaleb thing was part of TS trying to bluff his way to DL that he could save him cash i.e. playing the game.
Not many of the players like Sherwood (nothing new I know) and some of the players have said that its the worst atmosphere we've had at WHL in years
Vertonghen is willing to stay if FdB gets the job.
The Goat hears that there is a contract offer on the table for Lloris and negotiations going well. He is very settled.
Also The Goat has been told to "expect a fire sale at Southampton- everyone wants out" Lambert could be just the start. Many were staying to play with Poch and other players who might be brought in but now many players think they should move now when their stock is high and that next season could be a struggle.
The Goat has been told that Poch wants players back and to meet them face to face before making a decision on players futures. Wants to see if they have the "heart" to play his style. (His words)
The Goat was also told that Poch has spoken to Holtby and said he wants him to stay.
He's spoken with Lamela at length and both he and the medical team are very impressed with the work he's putting in.
Lovren is getting complicated, the fee is the sticking point and there's a chance we could still go in for Lallana
A couple of snippets have reached The Goat. Don't read too much into this Davies gazumped business just yet and the stories about Vorm are based on nothing more than an enquiry at the end of last season.
We could go after Eric Dier our scouts have watched him a lot last year. Also we have watched Matthias Ginter as well. Both good defenders who we have been tracking. Ben Davies deal is not dead either but players agent is touting him to Liverpool more than us.
Lukaku/Bony. The Goat hears that a striker was not a priority atm. But could change if Ade is out longer than expected.
The Goat has heard that while there is substance to the Davies/Gylfi rumours doing the rounds as of yesterday AM the situation regarding Vorm amounted to no more than a fresh enquiry. Not close to a deal on that one yet.
The Goat has heard that Schneiderlin and Griezmann are targets, but if they don't come in then it'll be no great disappointment as their roles are adequately filled for now. Also that 2 or 3 defensive players should come in before the season starts. (Although our source didn't say wether that included yesterday's signings or not)
Lamela has been treated like a star and it's given him a real boost. He feels more part of a team and club now and is really excited and driven for the coming season - he really appreciates how much Spurs fans want him to succeed and he wants to return the faith paid in him.
From a different source to earlier, The Goat has heard that we've bid a couple of times for Schneiderlin. Also that he wants out so the latest bid is likely to be accepted. The number The Goat is hearing is £16m and that it could take a while if they accept.
The Goat's source has also said he's heard nothing about Griezmann and he'd be very surprised if we spent much more if we get Schneiderlin. We've looked at a couple of centre backs but no names were offered up.
The Goat hears that contrary to his expectations, Schneiderlin has been told (by senior management) that he's staying at the club which prompted his Tweet. Our source expects this to get messy.
