Timmys team: Lloris; Naughton, Dawson, Fryers, Rose; Lennon, Sigurdsson, Eriksen, Coulthirst; Kane, Adebayor
Bench: Friedel, Chiriches, Vertonghen, Paulinho, Sandro, Bentaleb, Soldado

(Coulthirst may be stretching it, but if we play another back four, I will fist my cat.)

Feel sorry for your cat.

That could be back four, but it would hardly be that huge a surprise to see Vlad - after all he came in last game instead of Fryers - or even Jan now what he has returned to full training.

What I REALLY want to see
Friedel*
Fredricks Vlad Vertonghen Fryers
Sandro Veljkovic Dembele
Pritchard Soldado Eriksen

Bench: Gomes, Capoue, Winks, Onomah, Kane, McEvoy, Naughton

*Give Lloris a rest before WC. Friedel gets a good bye match(if he retires).

What we'll get
Lloris
Naughton Dawson Vertonghen Rose
Lennon Sandro Bentaleb Eriksen
Adebayor Kane

Bench Friedel, Veljkovic, Pritchard, Capoue, Soldado, Vlad, Oglivie

I'm sure Tim will give Nabil another game. He cant really justify using Chadli or Siggy in a CM 2 again. He'll drop Paulinho. No other person to play. Doubt he'll start Capoue, Veljkovic or any of the other youth CMs with Bentaleb. Lennon and Ade are his undroppables.

I seriously doubt Tim will start Sandro. Probably won't be in the squad.

Be 2 of paulhino, bentelab, chadli and siggurdson in the middle

Think he'll end his spell with Lennon, bentelab, chadli and eriksen in midfield

And his two boys up top

i'm dumbfounded by the management of nabil bentaleb. credit to sherwood for bringing him into the squad and giving him exposure but i don't get how he's gone from starting every game without fail to not playing at all. sherwood claims he's "protecting" him and cited how moyes had managed januzaj(as if that's a good thing?) but i don't see how this is "protecting" him, what exactly is he "protecting" him from anyway? surely any stable minded coach would've introduced him into some easier games and steadily rewarded him with more playing time and kept him ticking along nicely, yet sherwood has gone from one extreme to another. the thing that makes this even stranger management to me is that it's not like we're currently lining up with sandro and dembele as our midfield partnership, it's paulinho and chadli, or paulinho and sigurdsson? i mean seriously, what's going on here?
It was all political flim-flammery from Sherwood in the first place.

Apparently BAE has returned to the club.

Whats the chances he gets run-out? I'm thinking Timbo will drop Adebayor and have him partner Kane up top.

I would have thought any club would have taken loan players until after play off dates incase they are involved in them like QPR.

Wouldnt think he will be involved as he hasn't trained with us at all.

Really starting to look like it. When was the last time he played, Anfield away?

It was probably then when he realised he had no chance of getting the job and dropped him like a bag of shite.

So at goal it'll be usual with Hugo starging and Brad on bench, on defence we've Walker, Vertonghen and Kaboul missing so it's 4/5 out of Naughton, Dawson, Vlad, Rose and Fryers - judging from Vlad coming in at prev game instead of Zeki, the latter will miss out. So Hugo - Naughton, Dawson, Vlad, Rose with subs Brad, Zeki.

At midfield it's whole bunch missing with Lamela, Dembele, Chadli and Townsend all on the sidelines and Capoue just coming back and probably making just bench. Seems like Eriksen and Paulinho are certain starters, Lennon highly likely unless Tim wants to give Pritchard a shot (probably on bench with Capoue) and if Tim goes 2 up front, there is 1 slot left with Sandro, Nabil and Sig trying for it. Nabil hasn't played a minute since march, so guess it's between Sandro and Sig. Sandro played initially a lot coming from injury late february untill getting back to the treatment table. Now that Tim gave him some minutes last weekend, wouldn't be that surprised to see him start. So perhaps Lennon, Sandro, Paulinho, Eriksen with Bentaleb, Sig, Pritchard and Capoue on bench.

Up front Ade gets his usual nod and it's between Soldado and Kane for last spot. Could go either way. Guess Kane is bit more likely.

So a guess: Lloris - Naughton, Dawson, Vlad, Rose - Lennon, Paulinho, Sandro, Eriksen - Kane, Ade

Subs: Friedel, Fryers, Capoue, Bentaleb, Sig, Pritchard, Soldado

Vejlkovic just misses the bench.

Shame European qualification is still in the balance, otherwise I would love Tim to say, fuck it, and play all the kids:

Archer

Fredericks Chiriches Fryers Rose

Bentaleb Veljkovic

McEvoy Eriksen Pritchard

Kane

Don't think you will be far off, He said at the pressy yesterday that he will field a team that wants to play for the Club and him, so you can probably cross anyone off that told him their agent told them he was offski and anyone else that has upset him, christ thats a long list.

Not once this season have we fielded our strongest starting XI. We have a lot of injuries currently, but it would've been great if Sherwood played something like this:

Lloris

Naughton Chiriches Kaboul Rose

Sandro Capoue

Paulinho

Soldado Adebayor Eriksen
Of course, the line-up will be nothing like this because Sherwood has to think of his own managing future. He gains nothing by starting Capoue, Sandro, and Soldado. If they play well, they make him look like shit for keeping them on the bench for stretches of his tenure. There's no upside in it for him, whereas if he plays Kane, he has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Wouldn't be surprised if Bentaleb came in for Paulinho either, and Lennon is an absolute lock to start.

By the way, the fact that Soldado has hardly started a game since scoring our winner against Cardiff and then putting in a fantastic display against Southampton tells you everything you need to know about this season. He could've gotten his confidence up these last six weeks against shit teams, but was relegated to the bench so that we could play a pair of strikers in Ade/Kane that clearly don't mesh well together. I'm sure Levy doesn't like seeing assets depreciated in that way.

At this point, the only thing I'm hoping to see is a lone striker with Eriksen in behind and Pritch on the left. Absolutely no chance of it happening with Sherwood still at the helm and undoubtedly under direction to play as strong a lineup as possible with Europe still on the line, but I'd be delighted to see it as it would be the most conducive move to strengthen for next season (more similar to a formation we'll undoubtedly play regardless of manager chosen, Eriksen plays his best position, and we reward a loanee/academy lad by playing him in a position we've been weak at all season and consequently give inspiration to the other academy lads).

After the team news...
Lloris
Naughton Dawson Kaboul Rose
Lennon Sandro Sigurdsson Eriksen
Soldado Kane

Between Kaboul's red card and the feud between Sandro and Sherwood, I'm not sure which of the two I'd be more surprised to see out there tomorrow.

Kaboul can't play because of the red card so Vlad will enter after a good showing. But apart from that I think this could very likely be the team.

I'm not sure Paulinho/Adebayor will be playing after the wall debacle, but who knows.

Personally I'd like to see...

Lloris
Naughton Dawson Chiriches Rose
Sandro
Lennon ------- Pritchard
Eriksen
Kane Soldado
