Thrilled to see this thread. The last thing I want to suspect is that they just slumped off the bitch, onto the bus, and into their couches to just wallow. Thank Christ we still have at least one player willing to tell a few others that they're not giving enough respect to the shirt or even themselves.
Gallas was big lost in that regards.

Lennon and Bentaleb were both a disgrace after the game, Freund was trying to get them to go across to acknowledge the away support and they both just walked past him to the changing rooms, shows how much they care.

Afternoon all

Now this is in no way me trying to be an itk as I have absolutely no connection to anybody in THFC but I have heard that was some quite high tempers in the dressing room after the game against the chavs on Saturday.

This info has come from a girl at work who's husband is a spurs fan and a moderator on another spurs site. Apparently he was talking to another monitor (hope your keeping up!!) who works at the training ground.

Apparently there was some angry exchanges and squaring up in the dressing room due to Tim's post match interview. Now I'm a realist and expect, or rather hope that nobody was holding hands singing songs or doing the hokey kokey after that performance so it might (if indeed anything happened) be nothing.

Like I said this is no itk just stuff I've taken with a pinch of salt but was really just wandering if anybody else had heard anything??

I don't think the players were watching television in the dressing room somehow.

Sherwood's played the stroppy teenage meltdown card what happens when we lose next time? It's all getting a bit Di Canio.

No one knows what happens in the dressing room and I see little point it all of them having a go at each other when it came to that match. No one played well, Dawson was at fault for two almost goals so him saying anything about other might be a bit rich. No one came out of that with any praise, maybe apart form Ade.

The truth is Sherwood needed to say that wasn't good enough and none of the players did the club proud. Yes you would hope that someone on the pitch would be doing the same sort of thing when needed, but none of them had any position of power to have a go when it came to the Chelsea match. Not saying they never should be it was awful from start to finish and for me it would only be TS job on that occasion.

Who do you shag, the fat munter who smells but thinks the sun shines out of your arse, or an indifferent Monica Bellucci ?

What would be really useful would be if Dawson could show some leadership on the pitch. A few weeks ago he had to take a booking because Townsend gave the ball away then couldn't be arsed to chase the bloke and win the ball back. He just smiled a took it. A leader would have given Townsend the kind of bollocking that would ensure he didn't do it again. He's done similar ever game since.

Caring's great an all, but it's no substitute for talent or actual leadership.
1 - Dawson isn't the equivalent of a fat munter
2 - Bellucci will take off after one night cos Spurs doesn't have what it takes downstairs to keep her here

Until we do, we need to keep the fat munter around. And as A&C mentioned, giving the fat munter a bit of respect would help with that.

In the rush to kick Dawson in the nuts, the usual suspects are ignoring or lets be charitable and say missing the point.

He plays bad, he gets criticised, nobody has a problem with that. But what do you expect? Should he have walked into the dressing room at Chelsea and kept his gob shut because why? Some people think he's shit? Because he didn't have a good game should he not be upset? Pfffft! Do me a favour.

I think Sherwood's comments about certain players being over the result before they got to the motorway tell us a lot. It goes a lot deeper than who played well on the day and 'earned' the right to have a hissy. Something by the way that isn't coming from some of the more fashionable names in the squad.

Again. Nobody is saying he's Franz Beckenbauer incarnate and this isn't about fair and balanced criticism. The level of abuse and vitriol directed at certain players when they are the current scapegoat of choice isn't deserved, is unnecessary and way over the top.

This time around it just happens to be Dawson.

Lets put it another way. Here are a few examples of what i'm getting at. Obviously, it's been more than Dawson but he's the subject right now………….

Die Dawson
You piece of shit Dawson
I hope you catch bad aids Dawson
Fuckoff out of our club Dawson

Anyone here defending that? Seriously? Anyone here have a problem with the suggestion that he deserves a bit more respect than to be on the receiving end of this kind of thing? Come on then, lets see who here really hates Dawson that much that they'll make up some sort of reason to defend this kind of thing. Lets see which of you is really that petty and mean spirited.

I've heard Dawson was laying in to a few who didn't like it, and Tim took Dawson's side, that's why he was so angry in the interview.
But Dawson is not that good himself, so it is bit rich coming from him, IMO (If true)

I have this horrible feeling, that is the players who are longest at the club, like Lennon, Defoe (now gone)... Well the English contingent really are causing the problem, as they are simply under skilled and not good enough, but constantly getting picked.

But at least it was none of the new players, as none of them played apart from Paulinho, but he came on once we was 2-0 down.

EDIT: I don't f-ing know, I just know it is f-ing horrible and I just want all to end :(

His longevity at Spurs tells me that either he's bloody lucky or some of the people on here aren't quite as expert as they think.
That and he is passionate, just passionate without the ability to back it up.

He is not a shit defender, he just ain't good enough for where we are aiming.

He won't be laying into players because they are shit, he will be laying into them because of lack of passion and a spine as well as effort

Why is Sherwood continually selecting these players who 'lack passion and a spine' ? Time for them to be 'rested' and some of the rest of the squad or the youngsters given some games.

What the hell is an "almost goal"?

How on earth do you pick Dawson out for that?

Why are you not writing.....Verts, Sandro, Walker were responsible for ACTUAL goals.

Total inconsistency.

I was gonna start a new thread on the very subject of the mentality of our squad/signings.. You hear Man Utd's coaches, Chelski's coaches, Arsenal, Man City, Bayern, etc etc etc, go on about mentality of individuals and how important it is...

I look at our team at the mo, and it's back to the days before Santini, ok we have better players technically, but our mentality has dropped massively... Parker added some much needed steel when he arrived, a voice in the middle of the park, fantastic player that year.. VdV was a mentally strong guy.. Ledders in his own way was too.. Where are these guys from our squad?? Oh yeah, AVB sold two, and one retired.. I dunno where we'll get this kind of player from again, unless we pull a Davids, VdV, or Parker outta the hat in the summer.. I feel for Tim and Daws, cos I know exactly what they mean, I'm just not sure they're the guys to be enforcing it.. Which I guess is probably the bigger problem.

This!

Apparently Harry Redknapp wasn't as stupid as he looked, his first order of business was to get in some dedicated pros. It led to a change of mentality at the club. Sadly, those players Redknapp bought are over the hill and the change hasn't stuck. Think about this, Rafa used to give the other players a bollocking when attacking moves broke down, who does that now? Only Ade I can recall. Even Sandro, who I love, is everyone's mate...They should be afraid of him. I think Sherwood needs to pick his spine and stick with it, by all means rotate other positions, but Hugo, Jan (if he stops acting like a twat), Sandro and Ade should be guaranteed their spots and given free reign to bollock their teammates.
