Just to clarify that mess comment again please don't look into as it was used in a jokey figure of speech context which I obviously can't elaborate on how it came about without completely exposing myself (not in the Wenger way)

We'd never be in a mess anyway. We could always sell Sandro to wipe out any debt and have enough change left over to build the stadium.

IF we keep Bale we don't need Lamela right? As good as he maybe I just don't see that fitting. It would mean shipping out Lennon and Townsend and leaving the likes of chadli and holtby further down the pecking order.

Keeping Bale would be great but for me it's just delaying it until next year. So yeah we need Lamela.

Good post. If it was dependent on Bale money we would of 100% made sure RM could pay and a deal was practically in place. Levy isn't that reckless.

He's like a good dad really. He might not always splash out on the expensive games console you want for Christmas, but you know for damn sure the bills are getting paid every month and food'll be on the table.

Hey JJ, don't want to turn this into a Q&A, but is the TV Money included in balancing the books?

As looking at what we've currently spent and potentially going to spend, compared to income we have received in TV Money and players sold, we're looking ok if were not to sell Bale

Income

TV Money - £87m

Parker - £3m
Caulker - £8m
Huddlestone £5m

Outgoing

Paulinho - £17m
Chadli - £7m
Soldado - £28.5m
Capoue - £9m

Total Net = +£41.5m

If we were to keep Bale and get Willan, we would still be up with how much we have spent at +£11.7m

If we were to get Lamela and kept Bale, we would then have overspent and the balance -£18.2m

But, if what we believe is to be true, we would be offloading the below players:-

Ekotto - £6m
Townsend - £9m

Meaning that our net spend would be -£3.2m

Also, we still have an asset in Bale that we could sell next summer for just as high as fee.
TV money is definitely needed to pay wages, gates would not cover it.

Two medicals booked for 24 hours. Bale deadline Friday. RM don't have cash down payment required unless they raise £40m. Slightly depends on Spanish banks but low chance. Modric to United? May all be too late. RM dicked around way too long trying to talk down the price rather than raise the money. THFC working to a plan all summer. Still nobody outside 2-3 people know plan for sure. Tight media management in total contrast to previous era. No comment, bluff, even false-ITK have been used to keep everybody in the dark. Anybody who thinks JL and DL haven't thought of end game risks is underestimating them.
Is that you Levy?

I remember the days when I was a Rumour Ranger, searching the forums and creating "Spurs Community ITK Gold".

Well. Then we walk in the shadow of Giants, mate (y)

I forgot Rumor Ranger. When did we switch over to Whore? I can remember SS57 having the label before the new software.

Do we know what's up with Benny. Friend just told me he had heard (not sure from whom) that Benny is finished. With a French specialist (a specialist in France, no someone to teach him French) who has basically told him his career is over due to injuries that kept him out last year.

If townsend is serious about going to Brazil does he not realise england pick their there players from the top clubs, and constantly overlook better players from midtable and lower teams, and lets be honest another top team arent going to buy him and play him week in week out.

His best option for england is to stay with us and force his way into our team by performing well.

Exactly. Just seems like he's bottling the challenge.

Likely a big spend this year - 1st year of extra tv money and last year before FFP - then take a more balanced approach going forward as the TV money continues to roll in every year.

Hate to spoil the party but something is going to go wrong here.

Its not right when I am not raging at Levy's dealing in the transfer market. Not right at all. Its all seems a bit unworldly.
