So I've been away from this thread for a couple of hours getting my Soldado tattoo done.
Anything I need to know? What's been going on?

Sneaky feeling this will get done around 7pm tonight. Just a feeling.

NB. This is not ITK, put your cocks away.

Man utd is in massive debt and has more than twice the income we do. Arsenal again has a considerably larger amount of money we do, and many fans there are frustrated by percieved failures in the transfer market. We shouldn't even be close to these teams, on fact financially we are behind liverpool and only spend fractionally more than Aston Villa (although villa are terribly run, particularly in what they pay in wages.

United got screwed by the glazers and Arsenal fans are spoiled brats. They want their cake and eat it. Sadly I forsee them eating it soon as the money is showing again for them. They've followed the exact model we have. But young and cheap. Sell for profit. They're just much better at it than us.

7pm? That is a random time to suggest. Though would help in my quest to get a good early sleep. (Last night was thwarted by the sudden surge in Soldado discussions.)

Screwed? Their business model seems to be working pretty well tbh.

Soldado unhappy, sounds like things are starting to swing in our favour then. Soldado alone would be fantastic, but ITK has suggested yet more signings, exciting times indeed if Bobby arrives.

You all realise this wot happen right?

When has the club been able to pull off one of these big marquee striker targets before?

AVB says we aren't negotiating, their coach says nobody ill pay the release clause, even the ITK posts are non committal because nothing is really going on with it.

Don't waste your energy on it!

Yes he has..

Oh and their coach said that BEFORE Baldini was in Valencia having talks.

I don't think Soldado would want to leave on those terms. He's their last remaining hero after the departures of Mata, Silva and Villa - he might just simply need to have a 'heart-to-heart' with the president, rather than demanding he's allowed to leave.

By the way - the earlier suggestion that the board has asked the Valencia to 'reconsider' our offer. Is that to mean they want the bid accepted, or want the president to hold on to him?

want the bid accepted I would hope!

What utter nonsense you spout. And I mean that with the utmost of respect possible under the circumstances.

Them lot down the road have a ten year CL participation head start on us with all that entails financially, and the spillover to abiltiies on the pitch. And yet despite this massive income gap and them running their clubs so magnificently we have finished within a few points of them in recent years ...

Your comparisons are as boring and as ill informed as your Levy bashing.

Here's a friendly rating just because there is a slim chance that we might get along at the pub if we ever met one day.

Do one! And btw not only has AVB NOT denied negotiation, he has in fact confirmed it.
