He was absolutely right at that time to be certain of Leandro signing. Gutted that it didn't with hindsight.

Also you've overvalued those players by about £7m.

You forget add ons from both sides.

I'm sure Pienaar and Kranjcar were sold for £30million plus, each. Those players total combined wouldn't even hit £20million.

We have trimmed our wage bill though less players in the squad, so glad we sold Pav

shame we didn't sign a goal scorer

Fair enough about the add-on values, but those player sales were more than £20m in total. Somehow Levy got about £8m just for Pav!

The point is that there was money left over from the sales. It could be that it's being reserved for the stadium, or for the right player, but ultimately it wasn't re-invested last summer or in January.

We are self-efficient, we only spend what we can, therefore we spend every penny that we make in transfer sales if we have any unspent money we use that in the next transfer window. I honestly don't know how you can believe that Levy hoards the transfer money like a dragon sitting on a pile of gold, like Smaug.

The proof is in the financial statements that the club release annually. We practically just break even every year.

Anyway, back to the topic of ITK discussion! I do hope that AVB signs a new contract, I want that man here for 10 years or more.

Like I said, I'm sure the money all goes back into the club, but it's not like-for-like for players. When Bale is eventually sold there is no way we'll spend all of that money on players
