Agree with your first sentence, not sure about the second with regards to Ade's "cheek". I think it just shows that he knows how shit he's been, I think he's laughing at himself and how he just can't seem to get it right these days.

Horrible to question was it all worth it - All the midweek games and PL games sacrificed.

120 grueling minutes only to be dumped out in embarrassing fashion in penalty kicks. Do people really think we are up for playing Manchester City and beating them after the way we've collapsed the last month?
It's good that people can see what our team will be without Bale here in the near future. We have no pace and no one who can shoot from outside of 15 yards. Adebayor's shooting is amongst the worst of any striker in the Europe, unquestionably.

Och - it was a great European Campaign and we will be stronger for it.
At this level (QF's) in order to proceed we need our best team out there - and that does not include Friedal or Adebayour. There are times during the campaign when I have thought we're just playing it to give Friedal games. Lloris is a class above.
But we've had our moments and it's great to see players like Carroll at this level - and he is class.
Respect and pride goes out to all our players and our fantastic supporters.
I can only pray we get 4th this season...the nucleus of the team is there - AVB deserves to complete his team and to see how far they can go.
