Jenas was just appalling today. The last few games I haven't been able to tell if he was even playing or not. This game I knew for certain that he was playing because everything he touched turned to shit. He is so frustrating. All of the physical skills but lacks complete mental toughness or belief.

To some up his efforts today... he had a complete mare! From skying shots over the bar to poor back passes, and a bad deflections towards beckford for their opening goal! Even when he done something half good, like the 50 yard run with ball, his shot was still blocked, which on another day might of sailed towards the corner of the net. Personally i didnt think he was that good against Liverpool either! He certainly lacking some confidence though, nothing seems to be going for him, and as a result he is making poor decisions.

But im still confident he will come up trumps this season and prove many of us wrong, I hope.

I got tore to pieces suggesting to get rid of both Hud and JJ and replace them with a single European class midfielder.

JJ and Hud are as good as they are inconsistent. And they are VERY good.

We needed to cash in on their previous form this Jan window. Because the nest window they could be worth 11 team tracksuits. Or 11 million each. Depends on their night life/mentors.

Looks like Keane and King still call the shots. Literally.

Gibbs spot on mate, totally agree and i would even go as saying Palacios is limited to an extent.

I think we need two top class centre midfields but the likelyhood of signing one is very doubtful.

Bit naive to think we can just sell Jenas and Huddlestone in this transfer window and expect to sign some top class midfielders to replace them.

Jenas was poor today no doubt about it, but he is still a good player, however I think Hudd has overtaken him. People say we miss lennon. I also think we miss Hudd. Even a Hudd off form these days still gives us good balance within the team. same goes with Pal

Huddlestone is a waste of time without Lennon as he has no outlet ball.

I know alot of people don't like Jenas and if he was great he would be shit, but IMHO he wasn't poot today. He did make an awful back pass but that happens to players every now and then he just didn't see Beckford. That aside I felt that he used the ball quite well and put his foot in when he needed, showed plenty of energy and got all around the pitch. He certainly wasn't outshone by Luka in the centre of the park.

The stupidity around here after a loss (or a draw) around here is more depressing than the actual games. Please, let's sell Hudd, young, English and has had one hell of a season (we're sitting 4th, he's played every game (almost). We werent good enough, but that includes Modric, Kranjcar, Defoe, Daws as well.

However, Jenas had a shocker of a game and should've been subbed. We do need better cover than he is a the moment. And, YES, we need another CM. Wilson/tHudd should be our first choice CM pairing, but we really, really need cover for Wilson (what's wrong with O'Hara, anyway). As soon as Leeds realised they could put us under pressure by playing the ball in between our midfield and defence we were bloody helpless. That changed the moment Wilson came on, and in the end we were really unlucky not to score one more and then to throw it all away like that in the end.

Basically, we're helpless without Wilson, and that's pretty scary.

I have to say, I was not encouraged by Modric, he's way better over on the left than in the middle.

(Cheer up, fellas, we'll take'em at Elland Road (will be nice to go back, eh?) and we'll beat Fulham come tuesday...)

Are you being serious??????

How about his poor effort all game protecting our defence, or how about his lack of energy to track back runners who were making runs from deep.

used the ball well???? Passing the ball 5 yards left and then 5 yards right does not show me any signs of good use of the ball.

I'm sick and tired of moaning about Jenas but another Forest Gump performance has left me with no hair.

HE SHOULDNT BE WEARING A SPURS SHIRT!!!! NO IFS OR BUTS!!!!

He's so poor its shocking!

When Wilson was warming up I was certain Jenas would be the one to be taken off, can't believe he played the whole game because he was crappy.

The reason everyone hates Jenas is that he epitomizes what is wrong with this entire organization. He has no balls and he has pretense to greatness without having shown anything close to greatness in a long long time.

Bandwagon springs to mind.

u see his quality back pass

what about his great run that end in a shit shot instead of a pass

what about his countless little pirouettes followed by incisive side and backward passes half of which got intercepted

the guy was absolute gash today, u can scream bandwagon all u like but doesn't make it true

what exactly good did he do today?

any chance it could have just been that he didn't quite know how to play when paired with modric? remember the ramos era when jj and modric played together in cm they can't play in cm together, jenas is good with palacios in the middle hence jenas doing better when palacios came on!

come on guys keep the faith, if we turn on our on we're not going to get any better!

I've mentioned his back pass a couple of times already so I'm not going to harp on about it.

Shit shot? Watch again, it was a very decent strike that was well blocked.

Half of his passes wern't intercepted so that's a nonsense.

So weve got a back pass, blocked shot and an untruth>

I don't think he was great, far from it but he was ok, he was equal to Luka who after a good opening 20 faded a little into an ok performance.

I thought that Jenas's passing was ok and he got round the pitch well enough. Part of JJ and Modric's problem was that they were up against 2 and Snodgrass dropped into the space just behind them, it's not easy for 2 central midfield players to control that. I felt that daws and Bass were maybe to deep and could have squeezed up and subsequently the space that Snodgrass had and helped the 2 central midfield players in the process, I can only think that they were worried about Beckford having the pace to get in behind them.

In summary JJ did ok today for me, but then I hadn't decided that he'd had a shit game before it had kicked off.

could it possibly be that jenas and modric weren't given direct instructions by redknapp on how to play with each other? as both players looked slightly clueless on who was to hang back and who was to go forward
