Paul Gascoigne..

Paul Gascoigne raised the bar so high for all mavericks...that not many have exceeded it.
No one has since, the like of which we’ll never see again unfortunately, the whole game has changed since Gazza.
The mercurials don’t fit into the modern game which is so sad, God only getting 53 caps for England was criminal but then they only played 10/15 internationals a season.
For me you could take anyone from God, Gazza, Bale or Kane now.

Rafa VDV 💪

In the same way that Martin Jol’s time at Spurs was only a few years but he bled Blue & White and Rafa was everything you’d want in a Tottenham player, classy, amazing technique, passion, wand of a left foot, lived for a NLD 💪 🇳🇱

I think Cantona was up there. And maybe a bit beyond.

Bale! And I’m a fan since the early 90s.

At his peak he was joint best with Ronaldo and Messi.

I genuinely think Kane, now. Obvs not the honours of those from our glory glory days, but you simply can't argue those numbers and the performances. And that bananas goal against the arse at WHL, and the celebration where he ripped the mask off...

One of our own.

I'm not sure I can easily decide on a favourite, but the first that comes to mind is Gary Mabbutt. Bit of an underdog and under rated, yet amazing servant to the club and having to live and play with diabetes. Bit of a legend really.

Glenn Hoddle. Loved some of the 'hard men' too. Steve Perryman, Graham Roberts, Paul Miller, Terry Yorath, Sandro, Wilson Palacios all gave it everything. Gazza, Ossie, Modric, Bale, Kane, Keane, Berbatov all getting plenty of love too.

Absolutely adored Pat Jennings as a kid growing up. His one handed catches were a thing of rare beauty.

Cliff Jones

He’s the reason I’m a Spurs fan. I grew up in Barrow-in-Furness where everyone supported Barrow but also had a second team (because Barrow were perennially at the bottom of Division 4). Most of my friends had Man United or Liverpool as their second team but I chose Spurs because I liked Cliff Jones so much.

Many years later, my son and I bumped into Cliff at WHL (he was walking up to a hospitality suite) and my son told him that he was at Spurs because of him and told him the story. Cliff was absolutely delighted.

Happy memories

When I was in primary school, I got obsessed with Gerard McMahon after seeing him play once and thinking he was amazing. Spent every week hoping he would get into the team - he never did really. I suppose he couldn't have actually been all that! Anyone remember much about him?

I know its a tough one but if you had to name 1 player who is your favourite Spurs player in history, who would it be?

I might do a poll for the most popular ones.

Mine would be Jurgen Klinsmann
Same, he's the reason I support Spurs! (So it's a love/hate thing!)
