Thinking about procrastinating

Sat watching the Burnley game I was frustrated that we didn't see some of the young guys on the bench given a run out once we were 4-1 up. i.e. Giovanni & Adel. Thinking about it after and talking to friends securing the 3 goal advantage was more important; this along with the purchase(s) we make in the window & the need for points in the league, I feel means we will see even less chances for the gifted youngsters I feel we have.

So my concern is that for the rest of this season we will not see any of them given a chance (bar an injury nightmare); this may see players possibly leave the club without having a chance; progressing elsewhere into top class players. (see El Hamdaoui in Holland)

I think we should be making full use of the 7 man bench to blood these players; I really do think we have some special talents at the club; I have been really happy to see the Hudd playing some great football and Bostock get a chance. But I want to see more; I would much rather have a young guy as the 7th man than Ghaly or Rocha!

I'd like to hear other peoples opinions/ideas on this.

OHara reallycame through on the pre-season tours as a confirmed first team squad player - that's the time to wholesale bring thorugh the most promising three or four.

We've seen Adam Smith, Obika, Mason and OHara get some playing time and O'Hara is two years ahead of these guys.

There is no rush.

I agree at 4-1 it would of been nice to see a few of the younger lads, but i guess it is our most likley way back into Europe, plus silverware.
