Kaboul will never be a stalwart of our defence again. AvB isnt dropping Dawson and Kaboul is never going to be fit enough again to build a defensive unit around.
You say alot of things as fact, but are they? You say "Kaboul is never going to be fit enough again ..." is this your onions or do you know that for solid? If so, share what you know. Becasue all I know is that he's been out a season and a 1/2, is recovering slowly but i have not heard anything that suggests his career is over

i didnt say his career is over. I just dont live in cloud cuckoo land, ive seen players suffer serious injuries then spend the rest of their careers going from one niggly lay off to the next. I cant see him ever going on a sustained run of games that would lead to him becoming the mainstay people seem to have him pencilled in for.

he may well be the exception to the norm.

As for Dawson, he is our captain played more than any defender we have and has signed a new contract this last couple weeks. Its not a huge leap of sherlock-esque proportions to suggest he is very firmly in AvBs first team plans.

Yo ok, you didn't say his career was over I extrapolated that, but you did say he'd never be fit enough again to build a defence around & I wanted to know if that was fact or opinion.

I've got it now, opinion.

Well. Obviously I hope you're wrong! :( Does sort of look that way though doesn't it

Been to france many many times. Let's just disagree.

Oh, and I don't think YK was referring to supermarkets necessarily either.

He's right.

On a gastronomic level you can seek out some wonderful eateries and markets and french cuisine cooked in the home by the older generation is also fantastic in variety and invention and the French have given the world some wonderful food, but frankly their supermarkets are light years behind English supermarkets in terms of range and quality of produce. Even in bigger cities there is nowhere near the eclectic mix a food cultures you get in the UK, the french are very protectionist about their industries, especially food and wine.

The one thing I would say is that at least specialists, or artisans as they like to be called, are still flourishing in France, so you can by your meat at a choice of butchers, your veg from fruit and veg shops, your fish from a choice of fish shops, and things like poultry from the local poultry specialist shop and they will be very knowledgeable and the quality of their produce (once you figure out the best ones) is top notch, better than any supermarket.

In England these great local shops have been killed by Tesco etc. In France the supermarkets aren't allowed to sell a baguette cheaper than the local boulangerie.

I get that feeling if I was in prison, Kaboul would be the last person I'd wanna share a cell with :cautious: :wideyed:
