Cabaye of 2 years ago? Yes please

Present Cabaye? No thanks. He's nearly 29, will cost around £10m plus, will demand a hefty salary. Add he's rumoured to be an arse off the field, he's a yellow/red card waiting to happen, he's had one too many injuries the last couple of seasons, and his form has dropped significantly (my best mate is a Newcastle fan and he wasn't impressed with Cabaye's performances leading up to his departure).

I don't know what Newcastle fan you're talking to. They absolutely collapsed when Cabaye left and turned from good to utter shit in minutes. Almost like the Liverpool from last season to this season.

Is your mate Mike Ashley? Because Newcastle's attack was utterly gutted with the departure of Cabaye. I think they were fifth or nearby when he left, and they only acquired 14 more points the rest of the season after he left. They only remained in the top half of the table because of how well they did in the fall and how much the rest of the Prem after the top seven butchered each other last season.

He knows he needs to perform to earn a spot in the Euros. At this point, I think Schneiderlin is beating him out. Coming to the same club as your national side's captain is a good opportunity to do just that. I think he would be great for us, he has been shut out of PSG due to preference, not form.

ohhhh god yes

don't even care if he's a short term measure, four of our best signings of the past decade have been short term measures

I'd love him - an excellent mix of skill and bite.

I like him as a player but we won't go for him. Too pricey and little sell on value. That's levy for ya

Kebab is just what we need if we can't get MS. Only trouble is he's slightly on the older side (29 in January), so wouldn't want to pay much more than £15m for him.

Get shut of Paulinho and Dembele to fund it.

Cabaye, Stambouli, Bentaleb, Mason, Capoue. Beastly.
I think dembele should stay and Capoue goes in that scenario

It's open to debate, but I see Capoue as more suited to the 4-2-3-1. Cabaye would play best alongside a more defensive minded player imo.

Certainly neither have covered themselves in glory of late though.

loris will know if he is disruptive, great player exactly what we need, mason, Bentalab and YC would be a good midfield exp, feisty and good on the ball.

I'm positive that if we intend to buy Cabaye, or any other player that Lloris has played with for Lyon and France, Poch would be asking him for his advice. Lloris seems to be well respected within the club and seems to have bought into Poch's philosophy.

Cabaye is the real deal. Would absolutely love him. Has a bit of nastiness in his play too, real little fighter!

His nastiness borders on stupidity at times, but he definitely was quality at Newcastle. PSG fans aren't very impressed with him this year, but that may be due to his inconsistent playing time.

PSG fans like Chelsea and Man City are pretty spoilt when it comes to new shiny toys though lol.
