So many fans wanted Conte gone. Now so many fans want Stellini gone.

Now I'm not saying you're wrong but there's no point sacking them unless we actually have a plan in place. We can't just drop down the ladder from one assistant to the next and expect fortunes to improve.

Let's be totally honest, Newcastle players spared us further humiliation by taking their foot off the gas, not Ryan Mason.
I disagree with this completely, had it been 20 minutes to go I might agree. but 5-0 up after 20 minutes there's not a player on earth who takes his foot off the gas, the fact was they hardly had their foot on the gas in the first 20 minutes it was that easy for them they didn't even have to make an effort.
What changed it was bringing on Sanchez and going 3 at the back whether that was down to Ryan or not I don't know.

Nothing will improve until the next permanent manager is in place. I think we can file this season away anyways.

Whilst i completely agree that a plan is essential and one would assume that is what is currently holding up the sacking of Stellini. I also don't think Stellini should have been put in charge in the first place. He's just an extension of Conte tactically. Ether we should have kept Conte or got rid of his team bar Mason. We essentially made a decision then didn't fully commit to it.

Underlying truth is nothing really changes whatever happens this season but I still think IF Mason wants to give it a go then may as well give him the reigns. If he doesn't then whatever.

If this guy is in charge come Wednesday night I won’t be watching the Thursday game. I’m done watching us this season. It’s just absolutely pointless. I predicted we would finish 8th and it’s looking more and more likely we will.
What are you hoping another change of manager will achieve with this bunch of clowns we call players

Personally I think 8th and no European football would be the best outcome for us for next season. A new manager would have time every week to work with his players, worked quite well for Arsenal last year.

I can't get much worse than yesterday with someone else taking over? Can it?
Depends if the players have any pride left or if they're all just happy to collect their wages at the end of the week.

I think I know what the answer is.

It doesn't really matter, the season was done after Sheffield United and then the Everton game really put the nail in. Only a few more weeks to grin and bear.

Conte should have been gone earlier and a replacement in then. But we didn't plan accordingly.

However, luckily a situation has emerged where someone like Nagelsmann could come in - if we have no real rivals for him of course.

Which would actually be a massive (and umpteenth) 'get-out-of-jail' card for Levy.

Trouble is it's not just Conte , if it's not working for him then it's his whole team that should go with him. I just don't think it makes any sense to keep his number 2 in that scenario. His methods don't work so how can they work with Stellini? I think of you sack the manager you get a new team in even if just temporarily. Players need fresh faces and voices.

People saying give Mason the job, you do realise that if that happens, we've basically;

Sacked the manager (Conte) and hired the assistant manager to be caretaker manager. We have then sacked the caretaker manager and hired his assistant to be the caretaker manager!!!

Look up the word confused in the dictionary and you'll see a photo of Daniel Levy smiling at you 🤯

Well it’s not really the fans fault the club handled it in the dumbest way possible is it.

I think the key thing is these same fans expected some level of competence to only sack conte once a plan was put in place that didn’t involve his even less qualified assistant taking over when we still had a realistic chance of top 4 and salvaging something from the season.

No one is trying to be an expert. Just saying what I saw. Serious weird behaviour on this forum.

No biggie mate. Its just that you made a pretty definitive statement about Mason had stopped further humiliation, so I was wondering what the basis of that was thats all.

You’re right but Stellini should have gone with Conte, he just carried on in the same way, he is way out of his depth and it was a bad decision. I expect to lose the next two matches but I’d prefer it if we made it a bit of a contest rather than make all the mistakes Stellini has made and get a good tonking again..

I'd like to see Toure get given the job with his choice from the backroom staff to assist him.

Stellini was supposedly the master tactician when conte was away, now he’s awful and Mason is the master tactician now stellini was away for 15 mins. Who next, Alan Dixon the master when Mason is in charge.
Hold on boys and girls we’ve almost reached Alan Dixon time.

Letting Stellini take over from AC was just the latest of Levys f##k ups, the big question is whats the next mess he creates.
