Everyone has an opinion and thats good aint it ? To be 100% honest i like reading other peoples stuff(as long as it dont go on for bloody ages) wether i agree with it or not.
Things arent going great, and like every other Spurs fan ive not enjoyed the start to the season. But things will sooner or later improve.A bloody awful start to the campaign may somehow bring us a more overall benefit to the season, who knows.
I can understand people getting totally frustrated by it being rock bottom and all,but think its way too early to start hitting any panic buttons just yet.

To be fair, I have a vested interest in this as people talking bullshit makes it a lot easier for us to hit our 'Ban Quotas' as set by Rob.

What's been going wrong on this site recently is that the natural respect that seemed to be part and parcel of SC has been thrown out of the window by some of its members. The tenor seems to be degenerating into abuse, truly vicious scorn, and a quite unacceptable level of derision.

There will always be polarised debate, and that's a good thing. Debate keeps things healthy and dynamic. It generates ideas by challenging people to alter their way of thinking, even in something comparatively trivial as football. For instance, I personally feel that Zokora should be banned from all Spurs activities aside from, perhaps, pitchside dancing. But there are those who think he's canine cojones. I believe that both sides have valid arguments as to why we've formed that opinion. However, there are those who believe that anyone who deviates from their particular view is some sort of heretic and should suffer the internet equivalent of being burnt at the stake. Some of the responses I've read recently have truly appalled me through their level of low-grade, below the belt, nastiness.

It seems that there is less and less tolerance for unequivocal views to be aired. Posters seem to be wary of doing so, for fear that the pertinent subject will become lost in the shitstorm of moronic one-line responses. Responses from those who appear to lack the intelligence to form a balanced, rational, counter-argument, or the decency to remain civil. There are a number of posters who, when I see their avatar, think to myself, 'oh Christ, here it comes!'.

We're all frustrated. I doubt there are any Spurs fans who look at where we are right now and think to themselves 'Hmmm... yeah... like it'. It's that frustration that agitates us, and has us flailing around searching for a solution, but it doesn't excuse the drop in tone.

In response to your point, Bromavinci - with regard to shutting up and getting behind the team - I'm going to have to pull you up on that one. I'll start by admitting to feeling uninspired by Spurs at the moment. The only thing I feel when I think of the club right now is frustration, resignation, and 'meh', all topped off with an unhealthy dose of anger for feeling that way in the first place. That's not to say I don't love Spurs as much as I always have, only that it's not as passionate as it used to be. That goes some way to explaining my restlessness with Spurs, but it isn't the whole story.

To say that those at the club know better than the fans is not as clear-cut as you may like to believe. There have been some successes, I grant you. But the failures and mistakes, in my mind, are very significant and I can't help thinking that the only lesson we learn from them is how to cock up something else next time.

I would certainly hope that those in charge know what they are doing and are doing the best they can for the club. However, there are a few too many question marks over Spurs, a few too many things that seem to be consistently wrong, all of which point to either incompetence or a hidden agenda. To sit silently in that situation would mean that the incompetence is never highlighted or that the 'conspiracy' (for want of a better word) would continue on.

For me, and without doubt lots of Spurs fans, the natural response to all the frustration, all the malaise, all the disappointment is to try and find a solution. So how does a fan do that? By asking questions, complaining, raising their voices. It's normal and it should be encouraged, not suffocated. It's my opinion that those who follow blindly, without questioning the state of the club, actually do Spurs a disservice. And the reason is that a compliant fanbase is more controllable, which under the right (or wrong) circumstances could put a club at the mercy of those who don't have that club's best interests at heart. There was no implication in that last statement, by the way (I hate the fact that I have to so carefully justify so many of my posts these days - see above).

Should we continue to stay silent under all circumstances? What if Levy issued a statement tomorrow saying that he was stopping all transfer activity for the next three years and had scrapped whatever plans they may have had for expending the stadium, and was also going to reduce the salary cap by half? Should we all just clamp our hands over our mouths and say nothing?

I'm sorry, Bromavinci. I can see where you're coming from and I do agree that we should support the club come what may, but there's giving support and then there's being blinkered. But questioning the club is not disloyal. Why do we question; why do we complain; why do we doubt? Because for all our knowledge or lack thereof, the one thing that can never be in doubt is how much we love this club, how desperately we want to see it succeed, and that speaks of the greatest type of loyalty you can hope to find.

COYS!

Oh please, we have played 4 games.

Do you not remember last season, when we had won 1 match from the first 10 league games?

Yet you consider being winless after 4 games worse.

We have been outplayed in every single match. We've scored 2 flukegoals and an owngoal. We do not create chances and we have won 5 games in all of 2008. THAT was also last season. I've not seen our play evolve to something better.

You want to sit back and watch this club be the laughing stock of the EPL, be my guest. But this is bad. So bad that Im voicing my opininon against those who does not see the errors being made by the club and the ones who run it.

Sorry to be blunt, but I feel sometimes you have to be with people like this. " - by

You can't for one minute say I'm wrong, though.

U are probably one of those that instead of having opinions of your own, hides behind ur mates and just say things that they are saying because u dont have any opinion of ur own. And intead of replying with how u feel about OUR situation, u turn to insults.
But you are probably 12-years old, so I dont care...
