I'm hoping that Nuno is simply well versed in knowing when the best team to play attacking is and when the best team to be more counter attacking. I'm very hopeful we'll see front foot football vs Watford.
Lets see mate. We didn't deserve to win yesterday.
I have a real problem if Dele is supposed to be our main creator. I don't see where the creativity is coming from in games where we should be dominating, and it has been missed since Eriksen/Poch left us. Doesn't help when Gio and Ndombele have turned out the way they have, it's why I say big week ahead!

Watford next weekend will be a clear indicator of where we are, playing style. Can’t be sitting back there :cautious:
IMO we shouldn't be doing that against Wolves either. Could be because of the players we currently have, but I won't get my hopes up.

We 2 games in under the new manager......the players are still adapting to his approach. We haven't conceded a goal. We have issues with our main striker and our record signing midfielder who wants to leave yet here we are with 2 wins from 2 games and haven't conceded a single goal.

Bergwijn contributing more with regular game time, Tanganga a revelation at RB(okay I know it's 2 games), Oliver Skipp being integrated onto the 1st team. Dele Alli trying and being influential.

Those are all positives for me. Let's build on that by moving out the players that need to move on in Ndombele, Sissoko and Aurier and build on that with some other shrewd player investments and see where this takes us

I don’t disagree, but it was a bit of a traditional away-game performance.

When the crowd is urging you on, you can’t be sitting back against a newly promoted team. No excuses next Sunday.

I'm surprised we allow
the Away shirts
to be used
for home decorating.
Doesn't the Spurs Shop have overalls
with a discrete Cockerel logo?
Missing a trick there.

Im not able to find SR thread- How would people feel if Reguilon was taken off LB duties and sent forward as a wide LMF as Bale.
Ive watched him closely and he can't defend. He's not a defender in any way or form. He would be better getting forward and running at defenders, he seems to enjoy that part of his game. I like him a lot so want to see him succeed.

His thread is in the Transfer Rumours section on account of early window alleged interest in Real using their buyback clause.

I think Reguilon is a potentially outstanding wing back in a 3-4-3 but like you I don't think he's showing enough defensively to be reliable in a back four. I feel the same way about Sessegnon too, and with him we know he can be a weapon in the opposition third.

I think we need a good few months to find out how Nuno wants us to play but it seems he wants us to play 4-3-3 and I'm not sure I'd want Reguilon in the front three. Maybe if he's fit enough to try it in a Conference game if we turn the tie around.

Interesting they played Adama Traore on their left up against Tanganga - they must have thought he was a weak link. When he was switched to their left he looked like he literally ran straight through the defensively lightweight Reguilon.

I'm not sure how much we were "sitting back" as opposed to just not being able to beat their press. Lucas had numerous heavy touches that led to turnovers, and he and Son were seemingly dispossessed any time they came close to controlling a pass. The problem with having Dele, Skipp, and Hojbjerg as the midfield three is that none of them is especially adept at beating someone off the dribble and bypassing the press. Ndombele is great at this, but apparently can't be arsed to get himself on to the squad.
