You take off Ndombele and replace him with Sissoko all you are doing is sitting on a lead - you have Dele not geting a look in - in a side that only has two goal options and one tactic going forward

Bit controversial but everyone digging out Jose. Don’t the players have to take some responsibility? I can’t imagine Jose is telling them to play like this? Defensively resolute and quick on the counter sure but we just hoof it away. I think the problem is the link between defence and our front players. It should be quick transitions but we always try and bypass. I’m sure Jose is also not saying “don’t press” - hes saying press aggressively when they get over the halfway line and we have some space for our forwards - we aren’t doing that. The issue is the midfield for me and assuming Tanguy can’t last 90 mins it’s a tricky situation. We defo need to go on a run now against some weaker opposition - get the confidence up. I think we need to give Jose a bit more time than this.

I mean, these are his tactics. This is his game plan. If it’s not working, if the players aren’t doing it well, then try something else.

joao moutinho is 34 and puts our midfielders to shame. always shows for the ball and sets tempo. Our CM's don't want the ball and hide.

honestly have to say, didn’t notice Moutinho during the game.

Wolves aren’t even that good, they didn’t play especially well, and that is the annoying thing.

They are showing a highlight reel of Tanguay there now.on sky. To think he is the lad who gets subbed each week..........

Let's be honest, Mourinho is not going to cut it.

I honestly thought he'd be more proactive after recent failures.

Fuck me he breeds negativity and I was a big supporter of him.

Uncharacteristically negative and unjustified imo.
Sure the style is not pleasing but the results have been good in general.
We need a creative player along side PEH and we will drastically improve imo

Jose is pissing me off. This is not a one off, we do the same nearly every match. There is a clear pattern of trying to protect a 1-0 lead rather than going out to finish opponents off. Even our wins against City & Arsenal involved sitting back and taking every chance we get. This is not a sustainable game plan.

We are much better than we are playing, that is for sure and as Levy’s biggest critic for years he is the last person I would blame this season, we have been pathetic on the pitch against much inferior opposition time over this season

I think it’s Jose absolutely killing players like Dele for trying things. Players know if they try something and it goes wrong that’s it they are hung out to dry.
I also think it’s a lot more energy zapping not having the ball. Poch used to say you rest when you have the ball. Players are fucked by 60 minutes and aren’t going to make lung bursting runs to get forward because they know if they lose the ball Jose is again scream and shout and do what he does.

Jose's interview was a bit odd. Is this when he starts to go full machiavelli and throws Levy, Kane or Greavsie under the bus. We shall see.

Ndombele’s getting there. Good 70mins all in for him. Has been fouled a couple of times and was tiring, so think he’s been subbed to protect him as much as anything. Sissoko can come in and press Wolves a bit higher up the park than Hojbjerg and Winks. Lamela for Winks last 10 maybe?
Well, that worked out great...

He said the players lacked ambition and he will deal with it in private. I'm not sure how the players seem to be escaping the majority of criticism here.

Lot of Jose haters who seem to want the team to do badly so they can be proved right.

The squad isn't good enough and I will continue banging that drum until this squad is Jose's rather than a hodgepodge of those he wants and those he doesn't.

It is you’re right. I haven’t a clue what the tactics are (apart from parking the proverbial bus). I don’t know what he is trying to achieve cos it’s not trying to win by controlling the game or creating more chances. I don’t know what Jane and Son’s roles are anymore.
We lost today because of our negative tactics , not because Wolves were better. If we had been more positive and had the determination and desire to have more possession, we could easily have won this game. Taking our MOTM off was another mistake.
We don't do tactics, though, we only do strategy.

We have some of the best players in Europe, and we're playing like we don't trust them to possess the football. Like the football is to be feared and only bad things will happen if we keep hold of it for any length of time.

When N'Dombele was subbed it seemed tactical as he was looking fit enough and had just been involved in a good attacking move and was playing really well. Why sub him? It makes absolutely no sense

Because he’s knackered after an hour every week and rightfully gets subbed.
He’s very good for 45 mins but has serve fitness issues

If you're a creative player, this is last place you would come.
