Maybe he was poor as fuck and wanted a better life for him, and his family, and didn't want to risk waiting for a better offer down the road.
It's easy for 1st worlders, who don't understand true poverty, to take the high road.
Regarding war crimes, I don't think any one in the West should talk.
Doesn't change the fact that he comes across who's someone who's either a money chaser or simply poorly advised. Neither are traits I believe the club would be impressed by.
It's just a silly career move in general as he'll have a very hard time leaving the league for a top 5 league until his contract runs out.

As Russia is under sanctions by the EU, buying clubs could be severely fined as business with Russia is either frowned upon or straight-up banned in some countries, and therefore it's likely that most European clubs will steer clear until the conflict has ended or the sanctions have been lifted. If he's lucky he could get one to Turkey or the Saudi league, which of course could be great for him in monetary terms but neither is likely to lead to the top.

I don’t think the injuries will affect the business we do in the window. The club has never operated on a short term mindset like that.

I suspect we’ll have targets in mind that aren’t related to the injuries, and we’ll pursue them if and only if we can get them for a reasonable price. That’s how we operate, it’s how we’ve always operated. Anyone expecting something else is setting themselves up for disappointment.

We are at the start of our rebuild process, we’ve exceeded all expectations, but I don’t think we are suddenly going to see a splurge, or early incomings just because we are close to top of the league/top 4/whatever.

We know we want a LCB and we know we wanted the lad from Bournemouth, but who knows if he’s still what the recruitment team want.
Agree. I like when our transfer activity is about looking for the right players, rather than just positions. A Harry Redknapp style short-term stopgap would be good though.

One thing | am reasonably confident of is our transfer committee is being pro-active and looking for available talents in January.

Hopefully they've identified an available centre back, but if not, we'll wait until the summer.

As a LB I can see it not as a LW tho. He started out as a WF but Juve play him as a WB.

When we were linked in the summer with two from juve I did wonder about him due to the hg factor and paratici’s scouting factor.
but then I still wonder about sessegnon playing the udogie role. I know he can’t stay fit but I think he could do a job there.

I could be wrong but I don't think he would count as HG as he moved to Juve when he was 17

Was trying to figure out the same thing. He was in Chelsea's academy but I've seen some people suggest that even if we brought him in Jan (he's still 20) that he wouldn't count as HG by the time he was 21. Can't find anything definitive tho.

How do we feel about this guy ? Don’t know too much about him
Personally I’ve never been fully convinced. His numbers are impressive there’s no denying and physically he’d suit the PL but I find his finishing and his ball control a little erratic. He's also pretty slow which i find quite a large sticking point for me. Idk, I can certainly understand why some like him but having watched a good amount of him im just not sold and I just have this feeling he might flop in the PL.

Of course I might be jaded from the other players we have brought over from the Eredivisie and there is no doubt he suits Slots system that isn’t too dissimilar to ours. He is also only 22 so has plenty of time to develop and is having an excellent season on the whole. But even so I’m not sure I’d be spending 45 mil on him when I think a top quality winger would be a better addition.

I like him, if we could get a similar fee (40mill euros) for selling Richarlison it would be a great upgrade. He's a lethal finisher
Depending on how much they want Richy, we may be able to get him and Jota. Our forward line would be built for years then.
