Doesn't change the fact that he comes across who's someone who's either a money chaser or simply poorly advised. Neither are traits I believe the club would be impressed by.Maybe he was poor as fuck and wanted a better life for him, and his family, and didn't want to risk waiting for a better offer down the road.
It's easy for 1st worlders, who don't understand true poverty, to take the high road.
Regarding war crimes, I don't think any one in the West should talk.
It's just a silly career move in general as he'll have a very hard time leaving the league for a top 5 league until his contract runs out.
As Russia is under sanctions by the EU, buying clubs could be severely fined as business with Russia is either frowned upon or straight-up banned in some countries, and therefore it's likely that most European clubs will steer clear until the conflict has ended or the sanctions have been lifted. If he's lucky he could get one to Turkey or the Saudi league, which of course could be great for him in monetary terms but neither is likely to lead to the top.
