What I want to happen:

Kelly
Johan Bakayoko (i think he will be a mega star in a few years)

What I think might happen:

Kelly
A bid for Gallagher if we can move on PEH

Geez you lot are transfer obsessed. The window just closed and we have a football team to follow and enjoy.

We'll need a CB but the rest is wait and see for now.

Can't see us going for Bakayoko now we've got Johnson tbh.

Perisic will be gone in Jan/Summer, Son looks like he is transitioning to CF rather than LWF now. We would have Soloman, Johnson and Kulu for the WF positions. I dont think Gil will make it with us.

Bakayoko would complete our forward line imo. He can do things none of the others can and I think there will definitely be a space for him in the squad.

A LCB is a must and hopefully brought in at the start of the window.

Apart from that, If we are still near the top of the league at Christmas, we might want someone in to cover for the absence of Bissouma and Sarr at AFCON in January/February.

It will be Hojbjerg and Bentancur filling in - and we would never sign anyone in time to actually cover their absence...

I love discussing it with our fans, especially during the days in between games when we don't have any Spurs games to watch. During the last 4 years, I was obsessed with transfers because we were dreadful and it was for the hope of turning it around. There was so much negativity on here and on Twitter (not to mention the dreadful football on the pitch) that I almost had to take a break from watching games and being on here.

Now I'm feeling optimistic for the first time since the 17/18 season and it's more curiosity than an obsession. Like, how can we get even better? What does a future Ange team look like? It's genuinely exciting.

When we played Nice in the WC break last season, Khephren Thuram was the stand out player imo. If PEH leaves, he could be a good option, as he'll only have 18 months left on his contract.

Add a LW with Perisic's injury.
We have 4 wide players I'd wait and see how Gil gets on first and how he fits in Ange's plans. thats not even taking into account both Son and Richy are effectively wide players also.

I’d love a pure fox in the box, Jermain Defoe type striker. If we could convert more of the chances we’re making we’d be breaking records. I’m being greedy I know.

Fair enough, but for me personally Gil won't make it, Sessegnon is too injury prone, Richarlison is better in the middle and Son struggles some games on the wing these days. Which leaves Johnson and Solomon for the left in my mind. I don't know what Johnson is like on the left.

Just a personal opinion Trix, nothing more.

Get that mate but I wasn't counting Sess.

Gil, Kulu, Solomon and Johnson were the four I was talking about, add in Son and Richarlison and we still have 6 players for 3 places.

I can't see Richy playing on the wing for Ange, and honestly I don't think he is good enough over there. He and Sonny should be rotating for the central forward role and play dependant on how the opposition sets up.
Fair - but, really need to see how he fits in with Ange's tactics. Its a different style, that could suit him - even in the PL.
Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE Gil to make it, I just can't see it happening and even with Ange and the change in style it might be too late for him here. I'd happily give him Perisic's squad spot until January and assess over this period. If he proves himself, then great. But I can't see him doing it regularly for us. He needs 90 minutes to properly develop, not bench cameos here and there. See Sarr thriving, because he is playing week in and week out from the start currently while Bentancur is recovering.

Yeah but even the very best teams don't have 3 players for each position. You have a couple and then players that are capable of doing multiple roles. I do agree though IF Ange doesn't think Gil is up to it we will need another. Only time will tell on that one though.
