Is lloyd Kelly quick enough to be a decent backup option for us? Can't say I've noticed either way
Quick enough imo.

Yeah, he hit the same top speed at VDV in the league.Is lloyd Kelly quick enough to be a decent backup option for us? Can't say I've noticed either way
Yeah he seems ideal, I really hope he's one we've looked atGimenez would fit the system perfectly.
Slot's system isnt too dissimilar to Ange's so it could be a seamless option.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia would be a great signing, wouldn't be cheap thoughRecently signed a new contract with a €175m release clause. But I like your thinking, maybe move for Kvaratskhelia instead.
A player of his calibre would elevate our front line significantly imo. Physically he’s also well suited to the PL. I know he’s still raw but he is a phenomenal talent, he only needs some refining. He’s probably the only player I think it would actually be worth paying large for. I would prefer we spend big on a wide player than a striker.Khvicha Kvaratskhelia would be a great signing, wouldn't be cheap though
Agreed, shame Napoli is an actual nightmare to deal with.A player of his calibre would elevate our front line significantly imo. Physically he’s also well suited to the PL. Yeah De Laurentiis is pretty crazy in general. The only slim chance is Napoli just don't look that great this season. Currently sitting 5th and im not at all convinced by Rudi Garcia. There was already talk of him getting sacked a few weeks ago but he's managed to get some favourable results that has taken the pressure off. Still tho they are currently outside of a CL spot and a lot of players from last season are underperforming including Kvara. Personally I don't see them getting top 4 unless they vastly improve and if they don't it will be interesting to see what happens to their stars. Yes it would probably cost any club 60/70 + mil to get him (depending on how the rest of his season goes) but imo id happily pay that. If we really want to turn into a club that wins and consistently challenges for leagues we will need to splash the cash on serious talents and IMO Kvara is Ange's perfect winger - fast, incredible technique, likes to sit wide on the line, physically imposing, always looking to attack the space and put defenders on the back foot, can shoot from distance etc. He just needs to work on his decision making inside the box and refine his finishing but under Ange i'd have no doubt he would become one of the best wingers in the world in a few years. Shame its unlikely to happen. At least we know Paratici was a big fan of his.Agreed, shame Napoli is an actual nightmare to deal with.
Yeah I heard hes had a poor season and was poor in their run in last season too, hope it wasn't just a 7 month flash in the pan for him. I haven't watched any series a at all this season.Yeah De Laurentiis is pretty crazy in general. The only slim chance is Napoli just don't look that great this season. We moan about our physio department at times but if only one forward is ageing they are miracle workers!Yeah I heard hes had a poor season and was poor in their run in last season too, hope it wasn't just a 7 month flash in the pan for him. I haven't watched any series a at all this season.
I completely agree, we obviously have a squad build out to complete too and would likely need to shift Richie but maybe we could offer him going the other way and money. But we absolutely are at the point where we need to sign a couple of truly top talents to elevate our starting 11 if we want to compete next season. I think Alot depends on Veliz and his development but if we head into next season with;
Son, Veliz - Strikers (johnson can play there)
Kavra (or equivalent), Solomun - LW
Johnson, Kulu - RW
It is a very good set of forwards, and only 1 is ageing, the rest are all developing.
He is still playing well its just his returns have dropped from the previous season. Different managers can have that effect. His talent is still clear for all to see in his play though. Was constantly dangerous against Milan in the last game and could have won it right at the death. He would be a dream signing. Remember he is still only 22.he has got 3 goals and 3 assists so far for Napoli in 658 minutes so I think its far from "poor"...
Imagine he’d jump at the chance - could cement himself as our long term option up top under Ange.Gimenez would fit the system perfectly.

Depends if Feyenoord get through the group stages in the Champions League. He might decide to stay and play in the knockout rounds and then leave in the summer. I’m sure he’ll have a lot of teams after him even if he doesn’t leave in January and waits until the summer.Imagine he’d jump at the chance - could cement himself as our long term option up top under Ange.
I completely agree re Gimenez. I’ve watched quite a bit of him for Feyenoord and I’m really not convinced at all. There is no doubting his goal return and maybe I’m just jaded by players from the Eredivisie. He obviously suits the system and I can understand why one would think he would suit ours but I’m just not at sold on him. I think he might really struggle in the PL. Personally I hope we stay clear at the price quoted in the press. I just don’t think we need to be spending £40+ mil on a back up striker when our wings still need improvement.This Bryan Zaragoza looks very useful.
I was not impressed with Giménez when watching Feyenoord last season (to see what Slot was about). I remember posting on here that Giménez was a non-entity and they were playing well despite his shortcomings. But was a small sample size and our scouting has been so good recently. Happy to be proven wrong.
