Wonder if the Piatek deal going tits up has anything to do with this. I think Jose would be more sensible business than Giroud. First of all Sociedad will actually deal with us and secondly he largely provides the same attributes, is putting up better numbers currently, and would maintain some semblance of sell-on value given that he's not 33. I'd certainly prefer him to Giroud.

Far from a world beater who has clubs lining up for him so I’ll have to disagree. You make it seem like we’ve lost countless amounts of targets to Chelsea/Arsenal.. not the case whatsoever.
