When do players deemed past it know it's game over? Yep, the London knaker yard known as Upton Park is being lined up as your next home.

Couple of papers linking him with London's 6th best today. Think something was mentioned by one of the itk's about going across the capital too.

Looks like he's going, leaves us with Dawson, Kaboul, Caulker as the only centre halfs. So can't see him going til Jan comes in first.

Still have Bassong. Might be given a new lease of life under a new manager. Was really good in his first season.

Forgot about him to be honest, I liked him in the first season, never really got a look in after that, maybe a partnership between him and his wife (Kaboul) can be stuck up.

Kaboul and Vertonghen (if/when he signs) as our front line CD partership looks good to me. Dawson and Caulker/Bassong as backup, with either Caulker loaned or Bassong sold, likely the latter really. Then King lurking as a safety net should we get an injury crisis.
Simple.

Looks like Gallas has persuaded AVB he's still got something to offer as a defensive organiser and leader.

I assume this is also why the Carvalho rumours have gone quiet.

Pending any change of mind between now and the end of August, Gallas stays at Spurs as the experienced CB.

It would also appear that maybe Vertonghen was a Redknapp/ Levy signing and AVB doesn't fancy him. I was very surprised to see Gallas start yesterday, albeit he was OK

Vertonghen played an international midweek and squad rotation is no longer a dirty word at WHL now that Harry's gone. Thought Gallas was pretty good yesterday
