There is a high chance that Utd will not be in the top 4 at the end of the season, but they are very well placed in the CL now.

If the same scenario happens again this time, i wonder whether I can go on.............

If teams like us, Newcastle, West Brom etc are turning them over at Old Trafford imagine what Bayern, Madrid, Barca or even Man City could do there.

Well thanks a lot for giving me a whole new worry. Yeah, a top 3 qualification bracket could happen.

United won't win the CL with their squad and players, they have 2 players who can play at that level IMO, the rest are average or past it, Bayern, Real etc will rip them apart, even we did, could have been 3 up at half time at OT.

United don't have the destructive abilities that Chelsea had that season. Not worried about them winning the CL.

I thought UEFA had closed that loophole now anyway (or maybe that comes into effect after this season?)

Fear not, one man was responsible for so much of Chelsea's recent success and as good as RVP is, he is no Drogba and he's picking up a lot of injuries again now. Unless they break the bank in January, which is unlikely then I just don't see it happening. I'm more concerned about Everton / Liverpool finishing above us and us not even achieving a top 4 finish.

But I live in hope of a strong second half of the season for us!

How so. The rule was made following the Liverpool win and didn't realise that there were plans to change it.

I just remember the papers saying that what happened to us would not happen again following a rule change coming into effect. (was about a year after it happened to us, but may come into effect next season)

I am not sure if it was at the expense of the winners or that 5 teams (in our case) from the league would be allowed in.

Or have a competent manager inspiring manager er Rafa Benit club legend (i think) Roberto di Matteo at the helm
Haha. Di Matteo's undoubtedly a club legend for them, scorer of two winning goals in FA Cup finals no less.

This Man United team aren't even as good as the last one that got to the CL final, let alone the best teams in Europe, remember how easily Barca embarrassed them even with Fergie at the helm?

Through them like a hot knife through butter, Fergie was even gracious in defeat....for once
