Zaha Eze St Maximum would really be a dramatic end to the transfer window. We are crying out for another ball carrier / goal scorer imo. I've heard people say we need a traditional playmaker but tbh the game has evolved past that whereby wingbacks are the creative hub for modern football.

Food for thought our performance at WHam at least we didn't lose.

Potential in January for this to happen I think then. If we're within close proximity of the league leaders and still in the CL and other 2 cups we should be doing it.

Problem is despite his contract being up soon I genuinely think they would have wanted £40m-£50m for him, particularly if they had limited time to sign a replacement.

Honestly can't blame the club for not wanting to spend that on a player who will be 30 in a couple of months and at best would be a rotational option.

He didn't travel with Palace on their pre-season tours because they visited countries that require you to be fully vaccinated so unless we've dropped that requirement I find the links to him quite odd.

It's kinda vague though. Final days were how many days before deadline day? I personally don't think they are still contemplating that decision in the final 2 days, if not there should be some smoke by then. We were practically radio silent in the last 48 hours ?

I feel Zaha is a seriously good player a first choice. He is the sort of player you must plan for in a transfer window. As soon as you hear exploring / options / possibilities know the deal isn't being done

I've mentioned it so many times to death, but really a short 2 1/2 month sprint until the WC break, not too long in all reality as long as we have luck with injuries like any other club.

Zaha doesn't seem to want to renew, Zaniolo is up in the air, Traore will even have 6 months left on his deal. I think options will become available in Jan even outside of those linked this window. I'll be pleased if this happens because rather than us being stuck with Dan James, I think there will be better options for us then.

We just ignore these people - they don’t have many settings, just “on”, “off” and “wobble”

Lucas is one of the most brilliant players to bring on late and is COYS through and through.

Sorry to bump this thread- I haven't seen him connected to us recently but reports that he's holding out for 'a top 6 club' instead of signing on with Palace again just makes me feel that he's fecking Palace about to get a higher deal from them. He could have left before now but chose to re-sign with them before. he's the big fish there and if he moved he'd be just another player in a squad. I could be wrong (often am) but I can't see him leaving there any time soon unless it's after his current deal runs out.

He’s waiting to land a big deal as a free agent IMHO.
