who would have thought after 12 games we would be 5 pts ahead of arsenal and 2 pts behind man utd with a game in hand, and all this after losing the first 2 games and having a goal difference of -7.

we are talking about teams ahead of us losing instead of the teams behind, we are currently averaging 2.3 pts per game and averaging 2.2 goals per game.

Oh the life of a spurs fan, a true Love Rollercoaster :)

weird isn't it...

amazingly we've not had a game againt a crap team that we've fucked up for no good reason yet... we've normally had more than one of them by now...

still regret not winning that newcastle game though, we should have held on

Certainly not the guy who started the thread about is not getting more than 4 or 5 points from our first 10 games or whatever it was

at the start of the season i thought we would finish 6th and i wouldnt have been to hard on harry for that as the other teams looked quite strong and we were falling apart with modric and our lack of transfer activity

arsenal unexpectedly losing 75% of their midfield has helped, as has chelsea's new manager not quite being all he was billed as so far

but all the credit to redknapp, couple of clever purchases, and has kept this bunch of players performing to a level we all hoped and felt they should be capable of.

Yes, it's absolutely fantastic to see how well Spurs are doing and now we've got the bit between the proverbial teeth it'll be difficult to stop or even slow us down as the whole team/squad are playing with verve and flair and long may it last.
Thank you 'Arry for giving us a team that's playing with such pleasure I can only compare it with the great teams I saw, as a youngster, in the 60's.

today, for example. we'd have more than likely fallen apart after the WBA goal last year.

I'm 28 so I never had the pleasure of watching those teams I've only heard about in some Lord of Rings esque folklore... But I never thought in a million years I'd see a spurs team like the one now.

I wasn't around for the golden days, even the great 80's teams are just youtube clips and talk at the pub. I am so happy to be able to watch this team. We look strong in all areas, sure we could use some help with depth as our strikers need some depth to them if Ade gets hurt we are screwed and our central defenders need to get healthy but once they do we are very scary to deal with if you ask me.

Me too SP - I still remember who was positive in NevilleB's "Winning the league" thread!

 I get carried away sometimes

Actually, and this is something that kinda pisses me orf...I spent most of the 90s and 00s being as pessimistic as everyone else. That was based on analysis of what was happening. Now, I am only optimisitic in so much as over the last 4 or 5 seasons, I have been convinced that we are slowly building to good things - and I don't think it is fair to label that as blind optimism, as some folk do.
