They have so many very good players, seems when someone moves(that Ajax guy witsel that cost like 25-30 mil made me think of this) they seem to be Belgian. Hazard, fellaini, verts, to name a few, are all quality. Think they should be one to watch come world cup 2014.

If their team gel they are a serious force.

Courtois/Mingolet
RB, Kompany, Vertonghen, Vermaelen
Fellaini, Witsel, Dembele
Martens, Lukaku, Hazard.

Can't think of many nations with better potential, I hope they reach their potential as I really like all of their players (don't like Vermaelen, but can appreciate he's a good player). Doesn't hurt that we have two Belgians either. Also, Waffles are awesome. In answer to your question, I think it's just a case of them not having gelled perhaps, none of the players I've listed currently play in Belgium either, not sure if that'd have any impact.

While we often just chalk it up to the Walloon/Flanders split in the country, I think it's probably much simpler than that. I don't think they've had a good coach. Now that being said, the coach has to be able to treat both the French and Dutch players with equal reverence while setting up a system that fits their plethora of amazing midfielders but lack of forwards. And while many countries with their talent pool could get a Dutch or a French coach to help them make a good cup run, those are the two countries they can't hire from due to the above split. So my resolution: Spaletti. They would have to learn Italian to understand him, thus equally disrespecting both language/cultures and he loves the 4-6. :D

Mixture of inexperience, poor ranking meaning they are usually 3rd seed in any qualifying group at best and perhaps a slight over rating of their players. I see a lot of potential there but it's currently only that bar one or two.

The 3rd seed is an excellent point. (y)

Think 2014 WC will be beyond them but they will be a force in the 2016 Euros in France

They have Croatia and Serbia ( Scotland and Wales also ) in their 2014 World Cup qualifying group, will not be easy to qualify

They have a number of other cracking young players also, Steven Defour at Porto, Kevin De Bruyne at Chelsea , Benteke at Villa and Kevin Mirallas at Everton

For sure a good crop of young players

That's why they aren't good yet, it's the simplest reason. If we started Sturrige or.. I dunno Harry Kane up front (I know it's different with potential and all) but currently Sturrige is better than Lukaku who hasn't had a season here. Courtois is still so young to be a goalkeeper.

That mixed with a shit coach and the 3rd seed. Finished

Vermaelen is the one picked to play in LCB, with Vertonghen at LB :)

The reason they are no good is that they haven't got anyone who can score. Of Lukaku does turn into the next drog then they will be a force.

They are not a force because they are overloaded with good players in one area but seriously lacking in others, also they lack depth.

Their keepers are poor (well have been poor), they have no right back (at least not one at the same level as the rest of the squad), and have seriously lacked a striker as Lukakau hasn't been playing (so they just haven't been scoring). They will come good at some point if they can plug the RB and GK holes, as Lakakau looks like a real player at West Brom.

It's all about potential isn't it, it looks a cracking side. If they can click and a few more come through they could have an awesome side capable of winning things.

Sometimes all that talent just doesn't do it though, look at Argentina, they have so much talent but poorer Argentien sides as a whole have been much more successful that this one which has class pouring out of it.
