Its funny actually, although I know this isnt the ACTUAL logical reason we lost, I do believe in attention drawing.

And this parade, I believe, drew our attention away from the fact we were playing a Champions League team who in a class of their own in the Eridivisie.

I know many will will say this is just tosh, but I feel there is a connection.

I was gonna say I disagree but thinking about it, you're right. We must recapture the winning habit asap and 3 points under our belts before the psv game would help carry them through.

I don't think it affected anything at all. No problem with it, in my opinion.

Can't use that as an excuse for a poor outing. One can argue that the event could have lifted spirit and constituted to the success factor had we won.

I've seen cups paraded, I've seen trophies paraded, and i watched Bale and Gunter walk out onto the pitch the other night with the CC, both looked disinterested and slightly embarrassed by it all. I would have expected the entire squad to have made an appearance with it, maybe 20 minutes or so before the game!
But what bearing this had on our miserable night escapes me!

Parade? I didn't see a parade, I just saw two young Spurs players walking around the pitch sheepishly holding on to a trophy like it was a piece of toxic waste, very poor effort from THFC.

As for it affecting our performance, no way.

Is that 'cos they were Welsh, not fair.

I do actually believe they should not have paraded the damn thing
last night, job in hand was more important.

I was going to say, "I couldnt remember the word, but then again i'm not Welsh, so why should i?"

But as you mentioned it first, TCO, you can take the flak!

Who's dumb idea was it to parade the League Cup before the PSV match?

Probably the same idiot that thought it would be a good idea for us to play in all white on the final day of the season the other year when we didnt qualify for Europe. Obviously they thought we would qualify, but they announced we would wear all white as we always did in Europe, but we missed out. Idiots.

there is no way this had any effect on us losing the game.

I think defensive errors, losing the midfield battle and lack of chances being created had a little more to do with the end result then 2 Welsh lads holding the cup up for a min or 2 before the start of the game.

This thread is moronic
