Who's dumb idea was it to parade the League Cup before the PSV match?

Here we were about to face the run away leaders of the Dutch league, fighting for a spot in the last 8 of the UEFA cup and only 3 more teams to beat to win the UEFA Cup, and somebody has the brainwave to parade the League Cup and distract the players the job at hand.

If the season is going to continue with us looking backwards we might as well fold up our jerseys and throw them into the bottom drawer until August.

Not the main reason but these things add up.

Don't think Chelsea would have been parading before their Champions League match if they had won the League Cup. Kind of hoped Ramos wouldn't stand for slacking off.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the result, had the players not done a warm up and just sat in the changing room looking at their reflections in the trophy then maybe. We lost because PSV tactically got it spot on, end of

Anyway, I don't think this affected the performance in any way.

Yep, 2 non playing players whipped the cup around the stadium whilst the team were in the dressing room, this is surely the reason that we lost.

It had nothing to do with the result, but it was still a VERY dumb idea.

I thought some effort would be put in to it, Bale & Gunter looked like they'd rather be a million miles away! It was hardly a 'parade' either. I actually though it was dissapointing and a bit of a daft idea considering we had the big game to follow and no 'big' names to 'parade' it!!
