which ex- spur does Modric remind you of ?

I was watching Modric against Celtic and I was trying to think which ex player those short darting runs and 1-2's reminded me of ? Mickey Hazard, Neil Mcnab came to mind . Though Modric is a better player than either. He does not ping 40 yard balls like Hoddle or beat defenders with pace like Ginola or Waddle. Not sure he has Gazza's explosive finishing . Maybe Ardiles ? Though Ossie played a bit deeper. anyone else come to mind ?

Bit tricky seeing as we haven't even seen him play at home or in the prem yet and we don't even know how juande will deploy him.

Oi I cried when Hazard went! Modric is not better than what Hazard was although I do sincerely wish he goes on to bigger things with the mighty Spurs.

Anyone else remember Micky's second spell at spurs? He would come on and ping the most delightful balls around. Legend.

As for the Modmeister, I guess he's a bit like Ossie, very similar build and good positioning.
