Aside from all the jokes I honestly think Bentley could be our secret weapon. With Crouch up front who else is gonna hit pinpoint balls straight to his lanky noggin? Lennon? NOPE! If you play Lennon and Modric right and left some games then Bentley and Cole in others then its a perfect compliment... (If we get Cole? LOL)

I was'nt joking about him being our secret weapon. I strongly believe we're going to see the Bentley we thought we signed. Just think back to the goal against the scum that was no fluke the guy has talent but lacks/lacked confidence and I think Harry has seen this in training. My guess is Harry will give him a run in CM if we don't get our targets

We would get murdered if he played CM. He hasn't got the engine, height or tackling ability to do well there.

I thought that but people said the same about Becks but he has done it, only on a few occasions though

Maybe for all the flashness and confidence he displays the price tag and weight of expentancy were too much for him last year. Lets face it, the pressures off. we expect nothing from him now so anyhing good we get will be a bonus.

Old Bentley seemed pretty unfit and off the pace when he was 100%. It doesnt fill me with deep joy thinking about how poor he will be at the moment!

well he trained all pre season up until the ballmouth game. I did read somewhere that 'arry was impressed with his attitude and is part of his plans. if someone could find the artical it was in..

i hope he is in the plans and can prove the critics wrong, i really like bentley and i hope he will perform well like he did at blackburn. Hes got the talent and skill he just needs to apply it.

& I agree he's worth another go - he played most of his football last year when we only had 1 up front. He'll have far more to aim at this season
