So if the assumption is that Mourinho is toast and it’s a matter of when not if, what do you think he might say to explain the current malaise on th pitch?
Interesting, I saw him talking about the club this week and said this
How good was it that the Spurs fines were given to the local hospital?
That is Tottenham. I am here for a year, a special year with a situation we are at. But since I arrived Tottenham does not stop doing great things for the community at different levels. At the same time I want to say, there is not one single player happy to be fined in the world, but when the players understood the fines were going to such causes it was the first time in my life I saw a player with a smile on their faces for being punished with a fine.
Congratulations to the club and at the same time I also praise the players because their feeling was very, very positive when they understood that the mistakes and fines were going in the right direction, to the right hands.
I think then he would basically finish it off that, people moan that we play defensive but the players are too afraid to attack and the defence is shit
He'll say that injuries to key personel was the big issue. Likely point at GLC being out nearly all season, Regi and Kane out now as 3 first team squad players missing.
Honestly though, I think he would like to say that he over-estimated what he was inheriting. An imbalanced midfield and a defence full of individual errors, maybe he'll use the xG conceded as proof that the system was working but that's about it.
"Its been great to add another 3 premier League titles to the ones I already won. And of course the League cup, FA cup and Europa League wins but it feels like the time for a new challenge. When you win the champions League you're not going to do more. We broke the record for goals scored and least concede in the same season so all those experts that said my team was boring and wanted me sacked....fuck off"
Probably that he respects his opposition because of his ties to the club and he's looking forward to managing against his most recent club when he leads the Clarets out at Turf Moor.
