What to do in London when Spurs are away?

I'm going with some friends to London this weekend, cheap flights and so on. They are either seeing Arsenal or Chelsea so I've got saturday to myself. Thing is everytime I've been I have always been to the Lane.

So I'm asking you, what constitutes a vintage football saturday without actually being able to go see the game? Which pubs should I be looking at?

Hoping you guys can give me some ideas.

:)

Go and see Orient or Barnet play if they are at home. Always a good crack

Barnet I used to pay on the door but Orient I always bought tickets before. I can't see there being a problem though. There is always Palace, Charlton, Dagenham & Redbridge and Millwall to choose from as well. Is always a possibility of postponements though as the weather is dreadful here at the moment.

I'm sure you can pay on the door at Orient as well, at least you could when I used to go. You should be able to find a pub showing the spurs game if the weather is bad.

Get a ticket for Spurs at Birmingham! It's only about an hour on the train and I think that tickets in the Spurs end went on general sale

Watch it in the Pub, get drunk and then abuse your mates when you meet them up after they've been beaten ;0) perfect!

Where are you staying?

not sure of pubs that are central, but Nu Bar in Loughton, and The Sirloin in Chingford are good for Spurs away games. The barmaids are better in Loughton!!

Haha, I have no idea. A friend of mine has booked the hotel but we are supposedly pretty central.

Thanks for all the input guys, you are dead helpful.

If you are East, check out the Shakespeare on Bethnal Green Road - Spurs pub and they show every game.

Best chant: Bethnal Green is a Tottenham area!
