In a small update to my attack on Garth Crooks last week - he has continued his rant against Spurs saying that its clear that Conte "doesn't have a handle on the Spurs team" and saying we should look at appointing the....erm.... apparently in Garth's eye's the highly successful this season Brendan Rodgers instead :banghead::banghead::LOL::LOL:

I thought I was getting the same recommended Tottenham video on my FYP over and over. Turns out Talksport and Cascarino yesterday uploaded their third video of 'Harry Kane should leave Tottenham' in the last two months (!).

My expectations were low, but this is beyond parody.

Chris Sutton is one of the thickest, idiotic tossers in football. Another "Players union" moron who never accepts its the players fault and he wants to defend Levy? Laughable.

Everything he says is true though. Levy can have made awful decisions and Conte acted like a complete dick. It's not mutually exclusive. Contes behaviour was absolutely appalling and he acted like a complete man child, throwing a lot of young players under thr bus because they dared to carry out his anti-football.

Tottenham would still ‘play crap football’ even with the best manager’s around at the helm, according to Jermaine Pennant.

Spurs sacked Cristian Stellini, Antonio Conte’s former assistant, on Monday night on the back of their humiliating 6-1 defeat to Newcastle on Sunday, with Ryan Mason now in charge for the rest of the campaign.

Mason will be Spurs’ third manager of the season after Conte was sacked last month after ranting about the club and attitude of the players.

But Pennant reckons it doesn’t matter who’s in the managerial hotseat, with chairman Daniel Levy the problem.

“I think you need to get Levy out,” the former winger told talkSPORT.

“They’ve had top managers that have won Champions Leagues, Premier League titles.

“Conte, Mourinho, and even they’re struggling. You’ve got Poch, who is a great manager, and even he was struggling.

“So it doesn’t matter who you get in, you could get Pep, you could get Klopp, you could get the best in the league.’

“What they’ve got now, what the manager you get in now, will not do anything.

“It will be same old Spurs, start off good, and end up playing crap football and dropping off the league.

“They need to change from the top – Levy needs to go, 100 per cent.

“You can’t fix something if you don’t go to the root source.”

Levy took responsibility for the “wholly unacceptable” defeat to Newcastle as he announced the sacking of Stellini.

“Sunday’s performance against Newcastle was wholly unacceptable. It was devastating to see,” he said in a statement.

“We can look at many reasons why it happened and whilst myself, the board, the coaches and players must all take collective responsibility, ultimately the responsibility is mine.

“Cristian will leave his current role along with his coaching staff. Cristian stepped in at a difficult point in our season and I want to thank him for the professional manner in which he and his coaching staff have conducted themselves during such a challenging time. We wish him and his staff well.

“Ryan Mason will take over head coach duties with immediate effect. Ryan knows the club and the players well. We shall update further on his coaching staff in due course.

“I met with the Player Committee today – the squad is determined to pull together to ensure the strongest possible finish to the season. We are all clear we need to deliver performances which earn your amazing support.”

I thought it was a pretty good statement of where we are. Also how we should progress without Levy being involved

Pennant is a Gooner prick with an agenda. As if Pep or Klopp couldn't get us playing better football than the shit we have been served up under Jose and Conte! I'm not saying we'd win trophies, I'm saying decent football.

If this was said by any former Woolwich player, about any aspect of our club, at any other time that right now we'd all have dismissed this as bitter, North London rivalry - Pennant talks out of his backside on many topics, as does Merson & Benty, because they are Woolwich fans! Same way that I would imagine some of our former players would stick the boot in, rightly or wrongly, if the Woolwich found themselves in this position.

Giving it credence just because it fits in with an agenda is a bit weak. It's just another article puff piece from a rival club's player. He has zero knowledge of anything that goes on at our club so lets stop just elevating opinions because they say what we want them to say.

Sorry not an Arse.... follower and wasn't aware he played for them.
BUT despite that I still agree with what he has to say about our club.

PERHAPS I'm a gooner in disguise????

Can admit to going to Highbury with a mate who was a gooner but he came to WHL with me as well, if we were both home at the same time, very unlikely, I would come to WHL and he'd go to Highbury.

Do you seriously think klopp or guardiola wouldn't improve us?

That says a lot about their ability to coach.

You know its hit rock bottom when Jermain Pennant is seen as some sort of authority on anything related to spurs.

Bloke's an arsehole. Didn't he beat up his girlfriend and get done for drunk driving? No idea why they give pricks like him any exposure.

Drunk driving was basically the only way to break into the first team at Highbury for a few years, I'm sure of it. I doubt many Woolwich fans would argue that either. Seemed their entire squad just rotated through the dock for a while, even while still performing on the pitch to a really high level.

They were such liggers but still turned up at 3pm on a Saturday like clockwork.

Did any of them ever play on a tag? Who was it who played with an ankle tag?
