I'm having a problem with the word "stars", which I think is overused. I'm not having a go at the OP's thread title, his stuff is OK, but Jimmy Greaves and David Ginola etc. were stars, these blokes are not. They are very good footballers and may well develop into stars but they are not there yet.
They aren't "aces" either, they are just very good young footballers.
It's the same when you ring an insurance company or someone in the public service, or some arsehole in the telephone company, you get a message saying your call is important to us (which it isn't) and your call will be answered by the first available officer/consultant/specialist. Everybody is a consultant these days FFS.
I suppose having a posh title makes you feel better if you have a lowly-paid job where you have to take a lot of shit from the public.
