We find ourselves through transfers because of the amount of money we put in before the net spend years. Chelsea now have a zero net spend years on year because they spend millions and millions before, so they can sell a few players and get a few players from it. Very different to Leicester. I would have no problem at all if Spurs played how Leicester played

But Chelsea are gonna have to start spending again as most of their assets are ageing and won't command much of a fee.
The value of our squad is constantly rising and with our structure, should continue to do so.
Yeah, we used to spend a fair bit but that was some time ago and we wisely restructured. The teams like Chelsea, City, etc, tend to buy players at their peak for big money.
Every couple of seasons, they have to spend big again to rebuild an old squad.
We're completely different and it gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling!

That's really not true. We have been systematically improving our squad through player trading right back to when Jol was in charge. I had this argument years ago when quite a few were bemoaning the constant changing of our squad, when the reality was that we were consistently upgrading the squad.

We have had a number of rickets along the way, but we continued our sell to buy policy for years, getting good money for those players deemed surplus to requirements and gambling on players that others were wary of, Berbatov and Modric being prime examples.

We are not even comparable to the likes of Chelsea, who were on the verge of receivership through their attempts to buy their way into the top under Bates.

I have nothing against Leicester as a football club. They play good football and I like Ranieri, but i refuse to get behind a club who laud a racist striker and have the biggest load of detestable **** fans in the league who think its funny to openly joke about downs syndrome.

I'm also getting sick to death of the media trying to ram Leicester's dick down my throat at every opportunity.

Fuck Leicester.

At least they will not be able to launch their ships at us then :p
They are looking abit bare. There's really not a better time to be playing them. Obviously being a long time spurs fan there is always that ingrained pessimist
telling me were gonna spectaularly balls it up but this whole season has been a breath of fresh air and I really haven't been in much fear of even losing a game let alone getting stuffed this season at all. I'm fairly confident we will do a job on em next week! Done em at our place and considering the recent results before that doing the double over em with a high margin is definitely in order!!

The way I see it is Leicester were 5,000/1 to win the league at the start of the season

They were expected to be in a relegation battle

They lost their manager at the start of the season

They were bottom just over 12 months ago.

And yet they find themselves joint top scorers in the league and 5 (FIVE) points clear at the TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!

Regardless of anything else....they deserve so much credit and deserve the media attention they are getting!

We took 4 points off them this season so they're naturally a bitter bunch. If we had rolled over like Norwich and allowed them to beat us 3-0 they'd pat us on the back and say "well done, you played well"..

At least Chelsea, Man City and Man Utd fans have shown genuine respect to us after we beat them but Spurs fans are the most unbearable ***** in the league.
