You a bowler? That's what did a friend of mine, was spin bowling but the twisting tore his ligaments. Had surgery twice but can't bowl now, too risky.

Spin bowling, its bloody dangerous.my very brief and very amateur career ended when I dislocated my knee cap. Re did it playing golf once too. Lack of skill and confidence ended that career though.

A dodgy knee ruled me out of a career in cricket, was all set to play for Surrey too, one of the worst things you can injure tbh.

Doesnt help that i have a dodgy back too.

Fuck me, im 21 going on 80.

I would have thought then you of all people would not put a "grin" as a reply to his injury news.

"Meh. AVB: He is shit and he will prove it this season by spending a shit load of money and finishing 4th. Whoop de doo.

Oh but he is foreign and will wear a nice suit and give a load of soundbites like he knows what he is doing, so obviously he will be regarded as the second coming or something."

"Not concerned about the Willian transfer as I wasn't convinced he was worth the money. For that price you should expect the quality of Gerrard or Suarez." :ROFLMAO:

Sounds like he's talking about FSW there. Not a hint of irony.

The whole thing is simply tragic though. Either he believes that or his mind is trying to, and failing spectacularly, protect itself from its own psychosis.

Utd fans :)

If this talk of a bid for Bale being accepted (Coentrao the other way) is true, you have to say that Spurs will have done great business this summer, all things considered. They've bought really well and, from the outside, it looks like Levy may have learned his lesson with leaving deals to the last minute, or at least striking a better balance. If they can get those players to gel Spurs will qualify for the CL at the very least, IMO.
tbh, I expect them to sign another player or two. Wouldn't be surprised if they finally land Damião and get in a CB.
very good business and it seems they have had a good transfer strategy in place this summer.
He's certainly got more pull and attraction than Redknapp when getting these top players from abroad. The likes of Soldado and Willian would never join if Redknapp was there as they know he wouldn't know how to use them properly. I think he's taking Spurs to a new level.
On Levy:
Robbie Keane... 19 million.. fucking hell.
Then signed him back for £12m six months later. :ROFLMAO:
He certainly knows how to do his job properly, the fucker
He certainly knows how to negotiate a good deal.
Roberto Soldado, Nacer Chadli, Etienne Capoue, Paulinho, Willian, Erik Lamela all potentially signed for the reported fee for selling Bale? Top work.
And Coentrao, who's supposed to be involved in the Bale deal to Madrid.
That is a rather excellent transfer window from Spurs you'd have to say.

Let's sign him. You know it's the answer.

Assuming the Bale/Madrid saga has been accurately reported, the nerve and the balls of that man...
To look at whatever ridiculous figure that was supposed to be originally and turn it down is walking a fine line between genius and mentalist.

My chavs brother just sent me a text saying: "Where are you going to play all your midfielders?"......Told him to look closer to home for that problem.

All banter aside they bloody should be. I can't fathom why they have waited so long to sign anyone - if they are even planning to. Bonkers from a footballing and financial perspective. Us finishing above them is the least of their worries. Villa have dicked them already, so The Emirates will already be seen as more of a soft touch to mid-table teams. We put a marker down on Sunday by beating a good Swansea side then it is first blood to us definitely. And no, I don't think it is too early to say that.

The only soundbite AVB makes is 'uggghhhhh'.

Most of the time the guy just seems to chat or put words out there to confuse sports journalists.
