Clattenburg is ref for us on Sunday. Not sure how I feel about that...

with that news I'm hoping Lamela doesn't start, yes he works really hard, but also a little clumsy in the tackle

Mark Clattenburg Matches - 20 Yellow cards - 63 Red Cards - 5

he has only refereed one of our games this season, which was the 4-1 win v City, might feel he owes City something on our 2 clear off side goals.

he has sent a player off in his last 2 matches

You make Lamela sound like Cattermole at Sunderland.

Lamela has more yellows than Cattermole this season....

Although I know what you mean.

Lamela should play. His energy and work rate alone will be huge up against Demichelis and Otamendi

This is certainly the kind of game that suits Lamela. His best performances have been against teams that have tried to play pressing/attacking football against us. It suits his tenacity and he enjoys the more space up front without 9-10 men behind the ball.

Can't agree more.. When he gets his tackles, the loose ball will be beneficial for him or any other getting to them, as there will be so much space left behind to run into..

For anyone who hasn't spotted, yes Ty has a separate pair of headphones in to the ones round his neck

Ty is one of those gooners that will not give us any credit no matter what. It hurts him so much for us to be up so high. "They're not bigger than Manchester City. They're not bigger than Manchester City."

Funny how things come around. Last time we were in with a shout for the title was in 2012. We all know what happened. The real watershed moment for me was the 3-2 loss at City. Harry speculation begins. Balotelli gets away with a stamp on Parker. Defoe agonisingly misses a chance for a late winner. Then Balotelli scores a last gasp penalty. Title becomes distant and we end up looking over our shoulder.

Here we are again. This is the best I've felt about Spurs in my 29 years, the second best 2012 (too young to remember the 1991 side). Manager being linked to Utd, crunch match coming against City. Win and the title is a good possibility, lose and it's a tough ask, and Utd aren't too far back in 5th. Here's hoping there's no controversy and a different outcome this time!
