Looking at Tottenham vs City, 88 minutes, they are all fighting all the way to the end, everyone shows up for the ball, people run to fight for the ball, none of these jogging slowly everywhere. Spurs got lucky in the end there with the awful refereeing but at least they were able to fight to a draw.

I envy Spurs, never thought I'd say this. They have a clear philosophy and the players seem to care about the club as well. Going to Etihad and getting a draw without compromising on the style of football is mighty impressive. Even when their strategy seemed like it'd fail, they kept at it and got the result in the end.

Ange's style of football is what I hoped we'd get from Ten Hag when he joined, ie play our game even if we're being outclassed. But we're so afraid all the time. It was going well until this preseason for whatever reason, it's like someone took his family hostage & demanded he started playing more conservative.

Gotta give kudos to Ange for getting them to play the way he wants them to play. I think the middle of last season we were starting to see a Ten Hag team, or hints of it. That's totally gone this season. We look clueless and rudderless.....again.

That is so inspiring from this Spurs team. Unreal attitude.

I love how people on this sub were mocking Spurs last week for being overrated media darlings, saying the fact we were only two points below them is evidence of a media driven narrative. Utter nonsense. You only have to watch the games to know how untrue that is.

Ange is a manager with a clear playing style and is getting closer to real progress every week. We've got a manager who looks like a deer in headlights and players that look like they want to be on a beach and it's only the beginning of December.

  We also SHOULD have had a penalty in the dying seconds for a push in the box that VAR cleared within seconds.

There is nothing different here to Conte's Sp**s team, other than a desire to push up their lines more frequently. Sp**s are reduced to defending and counter attacks.

They are nothing more than Conteball with a higher line tonight.

Just staggering. Whatever your opinion of conteball (when it works and when it doesn’t) it requires a special lack of tactical understanding to think what Ange does is the same

Most clubs generate some sort of emotional/physical response. Like Chelsea and vomit and west ham and hilarity.

But city don't trigger anything. Their older fans are a decent bunch, who remember the 1993 pitch invasion after a Nayim hat trick. But this lot? It s like looking in a car show room at all the perfect new models that perform amazingly, but have no soul.
