Bissouma got Jota sent off last week apparently…..I guess “they all look the same”….
Have to confess I keep getting them mixed up in games, same haircut, and Udogie wearing Bissouma’s old squad number is too much for my brain!

I wouldn’t call getting 7 points from 3 of the perceived top 6 as statistically easiest fixtures. 5 of the first 8 were away…I guess it has been Luton, Burnley, Arsenal, Bournemouth, Brentford…..you can only play the hand that has been dealt.
This is definitely some coping mechanism, diminish our achievements to make themselves feel good and what’s happening is not justified etc.

Agree, in fact half of our matches so far have been against teams who finished ninth or higher in the league last season: Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U, Brentford.

After this weekend, Arsenal will have also played four of their eight matches against teams from last year’s top nine: Man C, Man U, Us and Brentford.

Liverpool too will have played half their matches versus top nine teams by the end of this weekend.

I suppose what stands out is we have played the three promoted teams but Liverpool and Arsenal have also played matches against teams like Forest, Everton and Wolves, who we would expect to beat on current form. They have also both played Bournemouth.

  • Expecting some significant human errors at Luton, Old Trafford and Brighton
  • Think I'm more nervous about Brighton away than Tottenham to be honest. Doesn't help that last week's game was an absolute farce and confidence is a bit low (mine that is). Hope we get 3 pts.
  • Annoying that the the Spurs bubble won’t be bursting for another week
  • Should be so easy, just utter these simple words: goal or no-goal.
It’s mad how everything is made so wordy and complicated by these imbeciles. Like the whole chat on the VAR tape, could have been abour 400 words less, just idiots talking over each other in some language resembling English, but barely any of the phrases making sense.
  • Might just be me but after last week I just can't be bothered with football. I want the Premier League to go to shit
  • Not sure Luton have had a touch yet

  • Make that 3
  • Tottenham should be 3 up already
  • Luton haven't even reached the ground yet.
Only a matter of time before Spurs score.
  • Spurs are hardly great. Missing loads of chances here after barely overcoming us with a two man advantage.
  • Unbelievable really, Luton can't get out of their half.
  • Madison is a good player, shame he's got a face you want to smack
  • That's a fucking joke. Yet again.
Can almost understand Utd and City getting constant decisions (not that that makes it right) but why the hell are these worshipped by officials?
  • nah, clear push on the defender
  • Oh don't get me wrong, we'd never get that given, but other teams definitely
  • How the fuck is that a foul by the Luton player. Romero was holding him and the smallest of pushes ever. And then the boot to the face has been decided to be "accidental" - what's the difference between that one and jotas last year on Skipp which was a yellow and spurs fans to this day complain should have been a red
  • Shows how shite Spurs are
Honestly, as it stands they are joint top
Have they played at all well this season
    NO NO and No
  • Madison really is unlikeable.
He’s really inherited the Waddle/ Anderton place in their psyche
  • Idiotic from Bissouma
  • HAHAHAAHAHAH have that you cheating prick (lots more laughing after this)
  • Complete cheat
Got jota sent off last week now he dies by the sword
  • Well that's one for the books I guess...
  • Their entitlement from officials backfired massively, Maddison had a shocking dive 15 seconds earlier as well, should enjoy your luck not constantly push it
  • Let's see what Posterglue has to say about this.
    :lmao
  • Different manager, same cheating Spurs
  • Come on Luton I want to see fat bastid Ange seethe
  • It's going to be fun when Spurs' freakish good luck runs out. I know they got a deserved red card today but I suppose this is the team you would want to get one against if you had to take one.
  • Getting Arsenal’s luck from last year. When does it run out?
  • Maddison is definitely one of the most underrated players in the league
  • Luton players doing the mannequin challenge
  • Don’t stress because spurs might be joint top in early October. It’s like when people were getting annoyed by Leicester in 19/20 or Spurs winning around then too as if they could be our closest challengers. They’ll drop away in time. Gap to Coty (and Arsenal to a lesser extent) is all that matters at the moment.
  • Spurs have had statistically the easiest first 8 fixtures of any side in the division. They've had one win that was in any way convincing, and that was United (who are garbage) at home. They also haven't had a single injury to a first team player. The luck won't last
  • Spurs look ordinary
  • Spurs fall from grace when the luck runs out is going to be spectacular
The Australian Rab C Nesbitt will just be the next villain in a long list
Should take advantage of all the Robbie songs while it lasts
  • Spurs would've lost any other fixture today
Surely it must be exhausting watching football with this mindset.

I can understand having slight biases towards your team but these fellas are bending over backwards trying to justify awful opinions.

Just add to the list of excuses because its easier to live with than Spurs being good now. Our fixtures have been kind to us. We've been really lucky with teams missing chances. Refs are giving us all the decisions. The media are all in on it because they love Ange. We're not even very good and it's not like we're only a few months into a transition either so no chance we will get better.

I'd love to see the documentation behind these statistics. 😅

Jota got Jota sent off last week. Bissouma got Bissouma sent off this week. It really isn't rocket science. The thing about Jota's first yellow last week is that it wasn't just that incident. He ran around kicking people the moment he came on.

The injury thing is the only thing I can somewhat get behind, and even then we're having to manage Maddison and Son's minutes because they can't finish matches as things are right now and our backup options have been decimated, especially in forward areas. The only thing we've avoided so far is a long term absence to a key player.

Apart from Bentancur who you’ve completely forgotten about

I literally said to my wife just before Jotas 1st yellow that he should run down to our keeper and kick him as that would give him a clean sweep.
It was almost like he had been told to kick every one on the park not in red

Left forward is also a position not set yet and its a clear issue with now. I'm sure Johnson was signed for that position and he's not played a full game yet. So we've been our best 9 so far this season. Sarr has done wonders for one of those positions. Left forward has been unconvincing but we have Gil back now at least and Johnson should start after IB. So really it's 2 first team injuries.

  • Spurs are gonna be top by the end of the weekend aernt they
    :fsake:

  • You don’t win silverware for being top at the end of one weekend in October. You need to win something, perhaps like a European title.
  • There luck will run out. They had a similar start under Mourinho and Conte before it all fell apart.
  • Did that div presenting on TNT really just say it’s the first time a top 6 team has visited Luton this season!?
    :eh:
Erm, didn’t we visit that ground a few weeks ago? And if she’s referring to last season, perhaps she better check where the Spuds finished!(WH finished 14th last season and currently 7th)
  • I know there isn't many S**rs fans here (understatement of the year), but how are they not already home and dry?
  • To be honest, it's always funnier when Spurs capitulate from higher up in the league. No doubt there will be the usual delusional 'we're gonna win the league' shouts after today. Much funnier when it all goes t*ts up
  • I think even Crouch was having a bit of a dig at the S**rs fans before today's game.
  • Tottenham player Bissouma getting a second yellow for diving on the stroke of HT is filed under things you love to see.
  • You just know Spurs will still win just to add to their list of sh*thouse exploits over the last few weeks.
  • Oh dear! S**rs down to 10 men with virtually the last kick of the game. Ref got it spot on. Blatant dive. Even Jenas agreed.
  • Diving when your team is totally dominating and on a yellow. ****. Instant karma for the cheater
  • Doesn't really get much more small time than being sent off for diving trying to win a free kick (not even a penalty!) against Luton.
  • Just about sums that shitty club up
  • Luton have been shocking. Even with a player sent off you still fully expect Spurs to win.
  • Spurs currently going top...urgh.
  • Tottenham 73% possession... away from home with ten men for 45 minutes
  • Tottenham very fortunate today. Luton had plenty of chances and really should have got a result. Some embarrassing diving and time-wasting too.
  • Media spurs wankfest incoming
  • The luck continues for the Spuds. Hopefully it runs out at some point this season.
  • They’re top for now but let’s see where they are around Christmas. They’ve had a lot of luck so far. 10 mins stoppage time against the blunts, dodgy decisions last week, Luton’s poor finishing today. At some point they’ll suffer an unexpected loss and it’ll be interesting to see how they react. Got to admit though, I do like their manager. He is level headed and sensible.
  • Life without Kane seems to be going swimmingly for the Vermin
  • Thought TNT let Ange off not asking him about Bissouma diving. Would like to of seen the current media darlings response to one of his players caught diving. I'm sure they'd of asked Moyes a couple of questions about it had it been one of ours.
