  • Luton are terrible, routine win for Sp**s incoming and we'll have to hear nauseating praise from the media for 24 hours at least
  • Well they deserve the praise in the way they play atm (imo). Offensive and fun
  • They deserve some praise. After the way they were playing under NES, Mourinho and Conte they've scrapped all that and went for a manager that wants attacking, free flowing football. Plus they're doing it after selling their captain and star player. It's also hard to dislike Postecoglou. Horrible thing to say about a Sp**s manager.
  • Should have 2-3 already ffs
  • This is a bit like watching a celtic game under Ange. Celtic vs ross county or something.
  • The fact he's went in there, taken a team that Conte basically said himself wasn't good enough and has them playing really good football deserves alot of credit. People were creaming themselves over Conte that he is a world class manager but couldn't get results from this team, never mind attractive football.
  • 5 yellows in 8 games is pathetic for a midfielder. Just another example of how open they are, they’re getting a hiding soon.
  • Romero made a meal of that. Very soft call
  • Extremely soft call. It’s a disgrace really. Really starting to feel like PGMOL are trying to manufacture a title challenge for feel good team Sp**s this season
  • Sp**s shooting is way off lol
  • Bissouma off, game on.
  • lol, Bissouma sent off for a dive
  • Sp**s will probably still win this since Luton are dreadful, but that was such an idiotic dive
  • No chance Luton loses vs 10 men. Btw very strong of the ref to give him second yellow there. Clear dive
  • Sp**s are still unlikely to sit off, should be at least some chances for Luton in 2nd half. They gotta hope that Sp**s continue to be off with their shooting.
  • Should probably be 2/3 up instead they're a man down.
  • Sp**s still going to win. Narrative or champions to be pushed after this.
  • Bissouma is better than Rice as a footballer. Rice is more disciplined though
  • Really poor quality game all round now. Relegation level.
  • Oh ffs, spur score. Still think Luton will get some chances, need to better than that last chance.
  • Maddison in crazy form.
  • This version of Maddison is better than anything I saw at Leicester. Lad is COOKING.
  • Why can't teams just score against Sp**s, ffs. They should have conceded like 10 more goals than they currently have!
  • It’ll catch up on Sp**s soon.
  • Maddison has always been this good, that’s why me and others have been asking for him. Cheap too. Done now anyway.
  • Looking at Sp**s fixtures tho, they can really create a gap at the top over the coming 1-2 months. A bunch of semi easy fixtures coming up having already faced 3 top sides. Lots of similarities to us last season tbh
  • We signed Havert and this lot got Maddison for £20m less
  • The defender who scored for Sp**s looks awkward but looks weirdly decent too, certainly better than Romero as a defender. A bit like Per for us.
  • VdV is a lot quicker than Mertesacker, better passer to imho.
  • Sp**s getting away with another.
  • Sp**s using up all their season’s luck within the first 10 games
  • Sp**s could be down to 9 men and still see this out. Luton are that bad.
  • WOuldnt be taking maddison off.
  • How Sp**s have gave away so many goal scoring chances to us, pool and Luton yet are walking away with 7 points is unbelievable.
  • Thoughts & prayers for Porro who's fighting for his life on the pitch....pathetic Sp**s tw*t
  • Look how quickly Højbjerg jumps up totally fine when the ref tells him to get off the pitch
  • Romero was excellent. Must be said.
  • My eyes are deceiving me surely, it's showing overrated Sp**s are top.
  • Best start since 1960 for Spurs
  • This season feels awful for me so far, ngl. Football by us has been crap and now Sp**s are top, what has happened ffs!
  • Let them enjoy it, they'll be brought down to reality soon.
  • Why does football absolutely LOVE Sp**s?
  • Ange got his players cooking and you can see they are full of belief. They dont have high expectations this season (well they might have now) so they can play daringly and on the front foot. Gotta applaud that.
  • VdV being asked by media if Sp**s are in the title race
  • Jackpot for Sp**s with Ange must be said. Right man at the right club, at the right time. As I said before, think they’ll be a real problem this season. It’s a ****ing shame we couldn’t beat them at home.
  • Yeah, I was keen on him to replace Teta when we were in the slums, he would have been a good choice. Ngl it’s a bit of a shame he ended up at Sp**s.
  • Don’t think it’ll work out in the long term though. Levy has too much control at that club and he won’t be giving it up imo.
  • They are in a title race yes. Ten games are coming up and they are top.
  • Sp*rs highest points total at this point of the season since they last won the league 13.8 billion years ago two months after the Big Bang.
  • Most of AM were saying Sp**s were going to be bottom half of table under Ange apart from a notable exceptions who actually knew something about him.
  • Woke up to a dozen tweets from Sky praising Sp**s and Ange's style of football for going top of the league and then see they held on for dear life vs Luton
  • God help us if Sp**s win a cup this year.
  • Sp**s keep getting away with it and it won't last. Seen this movie a bunch of times before
  • This Ange guy looks like a piece of **** also. **** personality. Hopefully its all honeymoon and they will disappear to being **** again soon.

And finally SA_Gunner (the oracle of all things football):

Still too imbalanced in their defensive phases for my liking, and their attacking instincts do leave them open for counter attacks which they will suffer this year. You cant play the way they do against teams who will plan for you in transition. Brentford, Villa, Brighton, Newcastle, Liverpool, Fulham, West Ham, are examples of teams who are custom built to exploit a more attacking setup. Sp**s are good enough to make top 4 with their style, if they maintain fitness. That is clear now that they've settled in with their manager.

I think they always had the belief. Their problem isnt belief, its ability which includes depth. They dont have that ability to compete for the title. If you had to compare this Sp**s side to Arsenal under Arteta, they are more like the 21/22 team, good but not stocked enough for a title race, more stocked for a top 4 challenge.

It wasnt hard to see that Sp**s had hired a good manager. You just needed to do basic research on Ange's type of football. It was typical laziness and anti Sp**s bias and hope that they would fail. At the very least they would have stabilised around the European spots until they added the needed quality and depth.

They are performing more or less as expected, with the surprise being the quick adaptation.

They are absolutely shitting it, you can tell. On there and on social media. All the belittling is the key to recognising it.

Go support Chelsea or Fulham then. They would seem more suited to your snobbish disposition.

There’s little difference between the Fulham Palace Road and the Tottenham High Road nowadays. The High road also has the benefit of massive regeneration in and around it, Fulham doesn’t (Earls Court doesnt count).

I keep seeing this and i honestly don’t know what people are talking about. We’ve been the better side in our two draws (and had bad decisions against us in both) and full deserved all our wins except last week. Jenas was talking about it on commentary and chucked in the Sheffield Utd game, where we were actually unlucky (at least one nailed on pen not given, goals count whenever you score them, we were the better team by miles)

Piss off, it's a joke. Sorry if it annoyed you Mr fun sponge.

When was the last time you set foot in tottenham?

I've been going to games for over 25 years, the area is a tip. With rubbish spewing all over the place. I'm not a snob, it's badly in need of investment, and the locals to stop fly tipping.

Go and walk round the flats around Edmonton and see for yourself.

Mate, that's a really shitty thing to say.
If you think Tottenham is all rainbows and unicorns, then you really have lived in some shitty parts of the world.

Being able to admit that the area that our club is based in is a dive doesn't make anyone a snob ffs.
It's getting better slowly but it's been an area of social deprivation for decades and no amount of you disliking posts saying that will change it.

And who the f have the mighty Arsenal played? Nottingham, Palace, Everton, Bournemouth, Man Utd, Fulham and Tottenham.
God damn they are a stupid bunch..
And 5 of our 8 games have been away from home. We’ve played a quarter of the league away from home and taken more than 2 points per game. Whatever way rival fans might want to spin it, 20 points from our first 8 games is outstanding.

After tomorrow’s games, Spurs, City and Liverpool will have each played 5 away games. Arsenal will have played 3. The fixture list was set up for Arsenal to storm to the front like they did last season. If (big if but a definite possibility) they’re looking up at City, Liverpool and ourselves after tomorrow that’s a dagger to their title chances.

I haven’t lived in England for over 20 years but I used to live in Tottenham and loved it there. I don’t think it’s any worse than any other working class inner city area in London or other big Cities. I dislike people putting the area down. It is after all the home of our club so you should embrace it warts and all. It’s extremely bad manners to be so disparaging of somewhere visit by choice.
If I offended you I’m sorry but you are offending the people who live in Tottenham, an area you know nothing about because you just drop by there now and then for a few hours at a time to watch a football match.

Do you realize that the first post you responded to, was the guy actually taking the piss out of himself, rather than Tottenham? Go back & read it again

Now, I don't actually think we'll mount a serious title challenge personally but we'll be right up in the CL fight this season.

However, I remember the same dismissive attitude towards arse this time last year, including by myself.

I happen to think there are fundamental differences between our dramatic change this season that run a little deeper than just "lightening in a bottle" that nobody saw coming for arse last year but the fact remains, they went close.

There's no reason, except blind hope by others, to think we'll completely implode again midway through the season as we did last year.
That's the thing isn't it? No one on the Spurs end has mentioned a Title race, its been manufactured by other fans and some media as a stick to throw at us.
