These quotes were taken from ToffeeTalk (Everton Forum)

Spurs are a really good team been together for ages.

We are a most creative side in inventing ways to screw up.

Fuck. We just can't get results against the top 6. It's embarrassing.

Outplayed. Shit on it!

Three Spurs players react to that ball coming back off the post, two of ours.

I think I genuinely hate being an Everton supporter. Its much more pain than pleasure

They are good. And they have builded that team up for years. But 1-4 home is unheard of. Did someone here say 2-5? That might just happen.

We have no answer for their attack.

I did post this before but son is fuckingquality

The gulf between us and the top sides I'm beginning to fear is so big I'll never see it bridged in my life time, so I just need to get use to it.

Lads I don't think how we set up would have made much difference, simply man for man they are better than us.

Fuck me this means I can't go out for a week Swindon is full of Yid supporters.

Yep we should have parked the bus after our first goal. Call Mourinho.

Spurs where simply better even with the brainfarts and positioning errors we would have been beaten

They are a testament to slowly building a side that can compete without spending the earth, a very good and balanced side no two ways about it

Depressing just how much further Spurs have progressed than us in the past decade. All comes down to recruitment for me, we can't claim we're paupers anymore, could learn a lot from the way they've gone about building a squad.

Part of me feels bad that to Everton fans we're effectively The Grinch this Xmas.
Its a very small part of me though, after all the booing most of me fucking loves it.

Spurs are basically at their peak, which is 3rd and trophyless. This is as good as it's going to get. 5 points ahead of a rebuilding Arsenal in Emery's first season and you guys are losing it.

Normally when teams perform above their squad cost they drop back at some point, usually because the good players they found for small money get poached, like Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater etc from Leicester.

What’s unusual with Spurs is that they don’t seem to have any problem hanging on to them. That’s what’s stopping them reverting to their 6th position.

Spurs couldn't win a raffle if they brought the only ticket.

Like clockwork A-m’s annual fawning over Spurs.. Wake me up when they actually achieve something

They have achieved something, tbf. They beat us in the Silly Cow Cup. That'll do for them. Tyler and Neville summed them up well today. They're not a club that needs to win anything, nobody takes them seriously.

Sp*rs as a club have been awful lately: ballsing up their stadium move and treating the locals of Tottenham with utter contempt. However, as a squad you’ve got to say they’re doing very well. No signings, fatigue from the World Cup and yet they’re still on course for a lot of points. It’s only because City and Liverpool are abnormally good this year that Sp*rs aren’t in a title race.

*coughs up a bit of grudging respect*

and Tottenham had players like Lucas and Lamela only on the bench.
And we have to deal with Iwobi and Mikhitaryan every week.

----

Lucas and Lamela aren't really that great either...

They're terrible, Lamela turns up twice a season and Lucas Moura just got off to a flukey start and has done nothing since.

wouldn't read too much into this. Everton are a disgrace.

Pickford was responsible for their first 3 goals.

The annual Sp*rs meltdown is still a couple of months away. (???)

Son is a Salah like player...top quality.

"Tottenham - massive underachievers on every level"
Excellent commentary

Their star players are just super happy to go trophyless year after year while taking 60% paycuts. Pretty unusual situation. No problems for them to stay competitive through the stadium debt, I guess.

was hoping for them to implode and Loose Poch with Kane and Ali and go back to where they belong.

They'll realize, for all their bravado, its a struggle for thrm to sell out their new toilet bowl on a weekly basis & the issue will be doubly difficult when they're repaying for it with their manager & best players looking for moves away.

Its happened to us, a club Tottenham's superior in every possible way. Fir them to believe they're immune to the realities of the Premier League is laughable & will make their inevitable collapse all the sweeter.

fuck me, i hate these ****s!

Poch will be going to Man U in the summer, then watch Spurs slip.

This result doesnt change anything, Spurs will still win fvck all this season.”

I see Leicester fans trying to stay relevant the bunch of nomad inbred ****s!!!!! That mid table shambles of a club are more likely to go down to the championship in a few years, than Spurs have of slipping into mediocrity. They are so bitter that lot and always have been on Spurs. Makes it even worse that the little ****s won the league, can’t stand them.

he’s pony, done fuck all to be rated
It's bizarre, took a team down and somehow became higher rated in the process...:wacky:

If i didn't know any better I'd say a genie was involved (probably just Santa though)

“ they don’t really have that quality, but just have players ready to kill for their manager”

What the actual fuck? How many players did we have going to the world cup again? 13 was it? They had 5 I think it was. What a twat.

I think this was the pick of them all.

'Quality wise they’re not the greatest but their players play for their manager week in week out, no primadonnas, no one holding their club to ransom and no demanding ridiculous wages. It’s strange for modern players to be that way but I think that’s why they’re doing well.'

Doesn't that also equate to quality players as well? Or is that just me?
