Yeah I'm glad too. I actually heard the "you're fucking shiiiit" chants start for a short moment but glad it only at least sounded like a minority and didn't last long, don't think there was any need for it.

Glad the Tranmere fans enjoyed themselves despite the result, they sound like a nice bunch who’ve been through a lot. That’s what the FA Cup is all about, those kids will remember that for a long time.
I live there mate and drink with them, down the local. They're a good bunch. Love their club and football

No one around me joined in. Pretty embarrassing really

More from the Trannys

Premiership clubs and players often made out to be arrogant, money central clowns. But Spurs showed a level of class i felt tonight. I think we must take last night for what it was. Great atmosphere albeit not sure why attendance so low. All round though i think Spurs showed a touch of quality about them. No real show boating...Son reciprocating the ovation he got. Poch has come out and said he brought Kane on to show Tranmere fans an English icon. Most papers talking about "thrashing" etc but Poch and Alli both saying how hard Tranmere made it first half. All in all, we take our money. We add some quality and go have a good second half of the season and see where it takes us. SWA

Hate the result, embarrassed by the result, but full respect spur and Poch. To bring on The England captain when there was no reason to do so, for me was a touch of class that not many others would do. I’ll be fully behind the winning the PL now.

I thought spurs treated the fa cup & Tranmere with respect last night, they could easily have thrown in the kids who would still have beat us, but to play the team they did was brilliant, as for the papers comments I take them with a pinch of salt, when my grandsons saw kane ali etc at pp their faces were a treat,

That last bit, really nice.

Much nicer than the 1990’s version...

‘The look on my kids faces when they saw Doherty, Slade, Acimovic and Mabizela. They cried for weeks’.

Same. I was really disappointed, embarraced actually, and thought it lacked class.

How could grown adults think that was the right thing to do?

Shameful.

I hate that fucking chant. I cringe every time I hear our fans sing it, without exception.

Seriously, it can get right in the bin and stay there.

It’s good when you’re beating someone you probably shouldn’t be beating tbf

Maybe you should write a strongly worded letter or start a t shirt campaign

Don't mind it against our rivals, West ham, arse, Chelsea or other top 6 teams, but so cringeworthy when we are singing it to the likes of Cardiff or Fulham. Pathetic really

Why? It's just football banter.

Chanting it only against clubs which we deem to be of our level would be incredibly arrogant IMO.

It only really makes sense against decent opposition! Calling utd shit when you are beating them by a few goals is banter. Calling Tranmere shit when we are 7-0 up is cheap, playground bully behaviour.
