Saw that. What was funny was that he said: "I didn’t say at any point you only had 11 players. I said your starting 11 is a match for anybody but strength in depth could be an issue if injuries."

What does he mean "if injuries?" Has he not been paying attention this season?

I watched a bit of this. Who is this guy anyway, he was even more dumb than the usual crowd. Just shows how the likes of Sky, and Talk Sport are full of uneducated, unprofessional, uninformed people. Bless him though I suppose he has to try and make a living so if some idiot wants to stick him on air and pay him money why not

Not strictly about us but the Guardian have been doing a "Top 100 players" list over the past week or so. They've released teh top 10 today. Our Harry comes in at 9th. Other Spurs players who feature are Eriksen (36th), Lloris (40), Alli (45), Trippier (72) and Son (78).

Obviously like all these list things it's totally pointless and arbitrary so will no doubt be heavily disputed and argued about by fans of various clubs. Either way though, 6 Spurs players in the list is pretty decent. Personally I wouldn't have had Trippier in the top 100, and certainly not ahead of Sonny, and don't even get me started on Mo Salah being 5th despite only having one season at anything like world class level, but anyway...

Here's the list if anyone fancies a gander:

How is Kane only 9th haha! Top scorer in world football in 2017 (beating Messi, Ronaldo etc) and won the World Cup Golden Boot.....but somehow Mbappe, who is a kid, and Griezmann are both ahead of him!

Also, how exactly is Salah ahead of him after having only 1 season under his belt......Stupid!

That's the thing for me, Salah last season basically did what Kane has done consistently for the past 3 or 4 years so I don't understand why he's above him. Makes very little sense

Sent this via email to a Man Utd-supporting work colleague:

"Lukaku is ahead of Reus, Busquets, Aubameyang, Fernandinho, Immobile, Fekir, Son, etc..."

His reply:

"His stomach might be, that’s about it"

Jamie Carragher also spits at Everton fans- a father and daughter- after some gentle ribbbing at a traffic light. He’s an arsehole who really shouldn’t be back at Sky, or working in any media outlet. I find his whiny, nasal offerings irritating too. A proper prickfuck

The thing he doesn't understand is the reason smaller clubs might never be as big as united or Liverpool if they continually let their best players and managers leave. It's self-perpetuating if they habitually give in to them every time they come knocking, and a primary reason why levy can't abide them and won't deal any longer.

Yeah because we’ve lost loads of players and managers to Utd and Liverpool in the last 8 years.

What makes me laugh a bit, is how the pundits are all completely ignoring the truth that Jose pointed out a while back....that these days premier league clubs can afford not to sell their best assets to Utd, like they did in the past.
Besides the stadium, Poch is probably the most important asset our club has right now.

Why on earth would anyone leave a job where they were one of the best paid manager in the league and their performances are revered amongst the fan base, they are about to move into one of the best stadiums in the world, they have a team on the brink of great things and the trust of the club and hierarchy, based in one of the most attractive cities in the world?

Leaving now would be completely out of character and against everything he's said for the last 5 years

Agree. His links to us are too strong. If Poch ever chooses to leave, he probably goes abroad. Plus the timing is wrong. It’s feasible Utd had a greater chance of getting him before they appointed Mourinho, but now they’re an even bigger mess and we have this amazing team, created on a shoe string budget- comparatively speaking- by his own bare hands, and what looks like an exceptional stadium. Why go to Utd in the current climate, with all those disgruntled egos and pressure to succeed, when he’s completely in control with what could easily be the capital’s most successful team for years to come?

Sorry, I was on my mobile so didn't really word it very well. I meant clubs in general (rather than us in particular) will never catch up if they are forever giving up their best players to the "elite" clubs. It's one of the reasons I think we are catching up, both on the field and financially.......it's just that short sighted twats like the status quo as long as it also supports their own club.
