I work with three Arsenal fans and all three said "aren't you going to take the piss then?" I said " why , you lot are irrelevant now"
I haven't even said a word to my Goon cousins. Not til after we win on Saturday night and I spam them photos of the parade :sneaky:

The wires coming down the wall from his telly make me feel physically sick.
What kind of monster lives like that?

The kind of monster who puts his tv so high they have to physically look up from the sofa.

You think this thread was derailed before? NOBODY SHOULD MOUNT A TV HIGHER THAN 3 FT OFF THE FLOOR! FACT. DONE. FULL STOP. END.OF.

Obviously I'm desperate for us to win on Saturday, but one thing I have loved about the last week or so, particularly since the Europa Final, is Arsenal fans collectively shitting themselves at even the thought that we could win. Even if we lose, there will be some satisfaction that for at least a week they were in so much pain at the mere thought of us winning, but imagine if we actually do it? The way they're reacting now, it really will be the end of so many of them.

"****ing embarrassing some of you. A statue for Klopp? Sort your ****ing lives out.

We need to worry about our own problems, **** Sp**s. When I grew up, I used to ‘pretend’ to Sp**s fans they didn’t matter. That they were irrelevant to us. I laughed at how much they cared about us failing.

Now look at our fan base! Our team is ****, so all we have to cling to is Sp**s not winning the CL. They’ve already out performed us this year, and the last 3 years.

Even if they get spanked, they won’t give a **** what we say. We will just look pathetic.

None of my Sp**s mates even messaged me past night when we got destroyed! They don’t even care about us.

Yet we will all pipe up if they lose a one off game to a brilliant Liverpool team??? Wow.

Some need to take a long look in the mirror."

Keeping the powder dry.

We win on Saturday and we'll unleash!

Wrong on many levels, but not for this thread.

RAWK Forum Match Thread

One thing I’ve noticed is like the attitude in the city and amongst my mates and the people I work with. Last year we were all giddy, on cloud nine talking about “destiny” and all that. We were a boss team but we weren’t a team who’d finished on 97 points. Felt a bit like we were Blue Peter badge winners, if that makes sense. I don’t want to downplay last season because it was so much fun and it was such a brilliant achievement.

I think now there’s a feeling amongst everyone that this is where we belong, and there’s this (almost) calm belief now. Maybe it’s the longer break between the end of the season and the final, maybe it’s the cumulative effects of Kiev and this season, maybe it’s the “surely we can’t lose twice on the bounce” factor. But even as fans, we kind of feel... professional about all of this now. There’s a little bit of that dickhead swagger about us again. I like that. I think that’s why we’ll win.

I’ll add that I reckon Spurs are feeling like we did last season, but to a greater extent. And that’s why I think they’ll lose.

Something most are forgetting:

Even with a lot of Reds fans on the stands, this is going to be nothing like facing Spurs at Anfield, cos they haven't beaten us at Anfield in a long time, precisely cos (just like Arsenal) they come to Anfield shit scared and playing for a draw... they obviously won't be playing for a draw... so, we can expect them to be positive and obviously go for the win.

This will play into our hands.
Secondly, but we can expect our backline to be tested much more in this game.

Though, I'm not sure if Poch will approach this game all guns blazing as he did at Etihad or defensive as he did at home v Ajax.
It will probably be the latter, but obviously it will depend on when the first goal is scored too.

This is all very worrying, I predict a very close 5-0 win.
And... this is why most think you're all cocks

I think the worst thing that could happen for Spurs is if they score first.

Watch the fucking thieves!!!! That sounded like a threat :cautious:

This 6th European Cup glory will be for you Jurgen. You deserve it. Thank you.
eh? o_O You deserve a 97pt trophy for coming 2nd, here have a cry in your Special Brew

30+ degrees next weekend in Madrid ladies, so don’t forget you factor duffle coat and to wear your lightest summer frocks. I’m going with flower patterns with a pair of airware and a sombrero.
Heat will be a factor

In my book, dudes, Atletico were better than Real in those two seasons but lost the final. In one final Real equalised in the last minute. I'd say even we were better than Real last season and we lost. AC Milan were better than us and we won in 2005. In 2007 we were better than them and we lost. So, the better team (before the game starts and sometimes even on the pitch) sometimes doesn't win. Not rocket science but that's football. Accept it.

We should be well acclimatised by then. Shrewd move to train out there.

Last year’s final was so intense. Even with a gap before the date for the final, we still had players as fit as robbo going down with cramp.

30+ degrees will be even harder next week. Hopefully we are more experienced and acclimatised and expect Harry Kane to find it tough going the longer the game goes on.

Spurs will be well drilled. Kept the academy kids to bulk up numbers in training so expect they have done lots of set pieces and role plays.

Hope our players aren’t too relaxed, need them to stay angry and hungry. Gini was a man possessed against Barca, never been so good as when he was all fired up

I'm seeing a lot of "their name is on the trophy" in regards to Tottenham. Even Carragher has mouthed off today in that he feels their run is akin to ours in 2005. What a load of nonsense that is. The whole "their name on the trophy" type nonsense doesn't hold up for me. Our name was supposed to be on the PL trophy in 2014. A year later, our name was supposed to be on the FA Cup because it was Gerrard's last season with us and the final was on his birthday. It had to be won for him. Aston Villa didn't get that memo. Last year our name was on the CL trophy because there was a royal wedding and other such destiny-type garbage. Well, it didn't exactly pan out that way.

We're the better side. We've had the better season. We have the better players. Those are simply the facts. If we play to the best of our abilities, we'll win. It's as simple as that. It's absolutely not guaranteed and a million things can happen, but I hate it when people throw out the "name on the trophy" argument as if someone up above in the sky every year decides the winner. Our name wasn't on the trophy in 2005. What we did was nothing short of miraculous, but if we find ourselves in a similar situation to the one Milan found themselves in at half time in 2005, you had better believe that our players won't be going off at half time laughing and joking around.
Someone is nervous

Surprisingly calm about the final.. Clearly hasn't hit me yet i guess..
But then i was extremely calm before the Barca second leg as well..

Maybe its got something to do with the team we have and the football we are playing.. Maybe its because we are still about 5 days away.

With the build up to the final, still to really get underway in a big way, i went and read some of the stuff on one of their forums.. here's the general gist over the last few days.

A lot of Spurs fans on their forum feel the long break between the end of the league and the champion league final will help them in a number of ways:

- Almost a fully fit squad
- Kane to be involved in some capacity
- Long break will negate end of season form (And this will affect us more as we were in great form and they weren't
rolleyes.gif

A lot of them also feel that with a fully fit squad, they can really give us a real run for our money.
A number of them think, they were extremely unlucky to lose both league matches and were the better team (2nd half) in both matches.
They also want Winks to start the match..
And more surprisingly, a number of them didn't ave Son in their preferred staring line ups. (Lucas was preferred to him with Kane starting up top)
shocked.gif
What forum is he on about?

This time next week, we'll be enjoying the victory parade.
Confident much?

Loving the Kane stuff ... him briefing the press he’s fit, it’s already a story as to whether he starts or not ... pressure to start him will be huge
No, he will or he won't, there is no pressure in that decision

Couple of their players already in the media acting billy big balls. We are just going on quietly about our business behind the scenes.
What? All I get on YouTube are clips of the reds and interviews etc... hardly flying under the radar

Got a feeling Spurs will wilt under the pressure. They aren't used to games of this magnitude
Says the previous wilters

Haven't experienced a final like this in my lifetime; where winning would be glorious but losing a total nightmare.

One thing I fear is that Spurs are sore losers. Especially when the stakes are high like that Chelsea game in Leicester title winning season, they resort to kicking and just general stupidity. Hopefully the ref spots that and isn't afraid to send one of theirs off.
Also, we need to be calm and not jump in to any fights with them, which we usually don't but the occasion might just bring out the worst in Spurs and can trigger reactions from our side.

Deli Ali is a particularly nasty piece of work for this.
No worse than your diving forwards

Spurs are there, soaking it all up. In awe of the occasion, probably. We're training at Melwood today and don't fly until tomorrow. Spurs will be using up a lot of nervous energy you feel, I'm seeing a lot about their 'March to Madrid' and they almost can't believe they are in this position themselves.

Let it continue that way. When the stadium is mostly red on Saturday night, when they see the trophy before kick-off and realise we already have 5 of them, when the first whistle goes and reality hits we'll see what Spurs are properly made of. And I think the significance of it all will dawn on them and they'll freeze.

Klopps record in finals does worry me. If there is a criticism of him (and I’m being hypercritical) he can’t always react when plan A isn’t working (isn’t helped by weak benches either) and sometimes wasn’t as aggressive with his subs as he could have been (will be easier to do in a final though when you have to win it).

If there’s a criticism of poch is that he’s got his tactics wrong , especially in the big games with the 3 at the back, and had to change formations.

We are both capable of comebacks, we both go to the 95th minute. It won’t be easy, not like last night. Will be a tight game.

So Poch is a supermanager now?

On us finishing 4th
Because they aren't very good. We are going to beat them out of sight.

Finishing 4th in a 3 horse race? What could be more Spurs than that?

A few weeks ago I ordered a Thailand national shirt from dhgate. I couldn't find it anywhere else online or in person. I got my parcel in the mail today, open it and lo and behold...

Inside is a Tottenham kit with #11 Lamela. I kid you not. :no Is this some kind of omen or a cruel joke? Ffs, as if I wasn't already bricking it enough.
:troll::troll::troll::troll::troll:

Let me explain one thing first before the standard response of being a 'bed wetter' comes out...

I fully believe in this team. This wonderful, fantastic team that has guided us to 90+ points without winning the league due to some steroid injecting, blood money fuckers depriving us of what we truly deserved.. I completely understand why people are bricking it, let's face it, most of us are.
It's just very difficult to shake off the last couple of seasons where we have had to suck it up. Sevilla first and then Real Madrid. Pure heartache. It's something that we have grown accustomed to in recent times unfortunately, and that's why it's hard to believe in the best outcome. Me included so call me a 'bed wetter' all you like, I just don't think I can feel that again.....

BUT...

Somehow this just feels different.
I can't see a way where we don't win number 6. WE are European royalty. WE are what most clubs dream of becoming. WE are the better side and we've proven it twice in the league this season. WE have the squad to fucking annihilate these wannabes. WE will be crowned champions of Europe again and I cannot fucking wait.

We've got this.
European royalty? Like Gypsy royalty?

On doing hot weather training in Marbella, then home on Monday/Tuesday, then flying out today.
I heard today. Klopp felt they got to Kiev too early last year.

I'd MUCH rather finish 4th in a 3 horse race than blow a 7 point lead from January 1st to finish runners up. No matter how "brave" they decide they are for being the best title losers in PL history, that's got to sting.

We need to do ourselves and the whole of football in general a favour and beat these absolute horrible ****s.

Up until this season I didn't mind the team so much, just their obnoxious fans, but with Salah struggling to deal with the force of gravity so much this season my disgust for the entire club has gone through the roof. ****s.
