Those curved ends makes it look like a bigger version of Bolton Wanderers ground

It’s so dull though.

It's also 2 tiers at the one end, not a single tier.

The stadium looks good, they'll obviously be a huge buzz among Spurs fan when they play there for the 1st few times. It will be interesting to see whether that carries into next season.

The home stand looks so out-of-sync with the rest of the stadium, it's like they couldn't afford the whole Metlife Stadium so they had to make do with one stand looking like The Reebok. Still a world class stadium though. Maybe it might strengthen England's chances of hosting a World Cup now.

Looks a bit more like an NFL stadium but it’s nice though.

It's a nice stadium, though not the most imaginative.

The plan seems to have been.

1. Build Arsenal's stadium
2. Make it blue
3. Write "THE GAME IS ABOUT GLORY" in as many places as possible

(Kaz note: really not sure how it looks like the Emirates(n))

Impressive looking.

Kumb.

Seeing first pics taken by a smug Spurs pal from their “test” U-18 game vs Saints today. I feel sick to the stomach.

Compounded by The Moose saying it’s the best stadium he’s visited in the world.

Lucky *****.

And yet they still moan about Levy.

That’ll be great catering that’s the best not the stadium knowing that idiot.

Looks amazing. They might not ever win anything, but at least they can watch their team in comfort.

Yup, their new stadium does look pretty awesome to be honest.

Probably not a lot of wind inside with that semi-roof. Klopp will love it.

Very happy to see it finished, and it looks incredible.

Looks cracking

Yeah, not that impressive. Looks like a random modern stadium made for the Euro or something

Jealousy isn't very becoming, lads.

I think some of the older stadiums like Anfield or OT have charm in fairness, I'll still miss the old WHL even though it was in truth a little bit of a dive.

But yeah, this ones looks incredible imo, we may have had to wait a little longer for it but it's worth it in the end. Can't wait to go.

That looks awesome, love the one huge stand Dortmund style
Have they confirmed what's the first game they'll play there?

Beautiful that, well worth the wait.

I love old Trafford but often wonder what a modern version would be.

______________

thats it.

Nothing on arsemaina, just a lot of posts from earlier in the week taking the piss out of our "legends" lineup

Those reactions pretty much sum up the difference I feel having conversations with Liverpool and United fans in their entirety

Their opinions mirror our own fans. I think they are fair comments. Well apart from the Liverpool fans.

Ugh.

So there’s a thread on SportBible about the future of the England team and Dele wasn’t in the names they mentioned, so this guy Hugo (not him...) said thank fuck dele isn’t in that list cos he’s shit.

So a guy called Toby (not him....) posted the pic below re his stats compared to other legends and the reply is just weird. How can you possibly argue against someone like this?

‘He could flop at any time’ ?? Forget the fact that Toby has just proved he’s actually quite good..... Toby obviously didn’t think about the future!!

Every so often I feel the need to reply and I had a little discussion the other day that, summed up, went like this: (re the new stadium)

Gooner: Levy said that he based the new stadium on the Emirates and Wembley.

Me: Really? Our stadium looks nothing like the Emirates. Have you got a link where he said that?

Gooner: it’s not up to me to prove it, it’s up to you to disprove it.

He genuinely said that. At this point I should’ve stopped because, well because of that comment really. I carried on a bit though....

Me: You’re not being serious are you?

Gooner: See, you cant prove he didn’t say it. I’ve embarrassed another Spurs supporter.

Me: So if I told you Aaron Ramsay said he wanted to join Spurs instead of Juventus but Spurs didn’t want him, and then you asked me to prove it, then I asked you to disprove it and you couldn’t because there are no quotes that say he didn’t say that, then he must’ve said it yeah?

He never answered that question but continued to talk about how he ‘bullied me’ on this whole argument.

He wasn’t a troll because I looked through his other posts on that thread and it was very obvious that he believes what he was saying about various things. It’s just weird. It’s people like him that make me wish social media had never been invented. He should never be allowed to voice any opinion ever. Ever.

Ever.

I really do find it odd how people love sitting behind screens and giving it large. I have never had anyone, Gooner, Scouser, Spammer or otherwise say anything to my face which is as absurd as the two examples above. They love the fact that at any time if they realise they're in the wrong they can press a little 'x' button and never have to think about it again.

People are divs.

I used to enjoy reading the old 606 and other football forums. The internet now is full of irritating trolls, you cant have a proper footballing conversation without resorting to "banter". Love the game of football, but it does reflect on how shitty the worlds gotten, constant 1 upmanship and jealousy. Too many plastic glory hunting fans, which is a result of the mass commercialisation of football.

Refreshing to see some fans congratulate us on the new stadium, but most going back on the good old where are your trophies critique.

That’s definitely the worst thing. It’s happened to me a couple of times and it’s infuriating. They should be unable to delete a thread that has at least one reply. And also if they’re proved wrong, that thread should automatically be sent to their family, friends, employers and any future girlfriends and also should be available on a search engine just for social media comments entitled ‘pathetic social media comments’.

People are divs.

Block 130. Isn't that down by the corner flag? If so then methinks you are telling porkies here about your brother in law's ticket location or cost. According to the ST price list on their website an equivalent seat in the corner of their new single tier stand is £995 and a ticket in the corner at the other end is £795. I would happily pay the extra £140 to be in their North West corner and even more happily pay the £340 extra to be in that massive single tier stand. It is bloody fantastic, sickeningly so I would say.

I was one of few non Spurs fans to attend the match yesterday (I am related to one of the Spurs youth players who played in the game yesterday. To say that he was beaming afterwards would be an understatement). I have to say that the stadium is by far and away the best stadium I have ever been to and I think it will be a long while before I attend a game at a better one.

I sat in their East stand upper tier in the first half and then in their single tier end for the second half and the views are first class. I walked right up to the back of that massive South stand and even from the very back the view of the pitch is still excellent. The facilities in the stands then match, or even surpass the views.

Having been to Club Wembley several times I would say that that facilities in the ordinary general admission areas at Spurs' new stadium are better than those at Club Wembley. I doubt there is a football stadium in the World where the general supporters are better catered for than they are here. Having seen their general admission areas I can only imagine what their corporate offering must be like!

I think any event organiser who wants to put on an event in London and wants a capacity of about 60,000 will be trying to use this new stadium. I think Levy was very canny indeed in putting in that sliding pitch as I think their events calendar will be very busy indeed.

I particularly liked this bit:
