He's not. Pape Sarr has similar characteristics to McKennie and he's 4 years younger with better passing range. I've watched Weston since he was a kid at FC Dallas and though i'd love to see us sign him as he's a good player, we need a better passer in midfield. Actually, reports that Leeds might be interested for Weston, would be a good move for him.
Yup. I was at the juve game vs Chelsea at Stamford bridge. Chelsea’s midfield rang rings round juve, they couldn’t keep the ball all lay s glove on them

I'd be down for this if he was being brought in to replace PEH. That said, we also desperately need a Modric-like player in there for games when we need more skill and control. With Ndombele and GLC doing absolutely nothing and Dele being a zombie, we're left with a very utilitarian set of midfielders.

Don't see what he would bring us over Skipp/PEH other than a rotation piece.
Watched him against Napoli the other night.

A couple of things stood out for me. When he got the ball, his agility meant that he could take a touch, swivel and pass quickly - much quicker than Hojbjerg can. He used the ball well, switched play quickly too.

McKennie played a switch pass against Napoli, before the ball arrived he made a feint to deceive his opponent, his first touch was a set up so that his second touch he could effortlessly switch it. Højbjerg tends to need a touch, then look up, then pass.

That split second you lose, by needing to look up, allows the opposition to recover and is something that has greatly frustrated me over the last year or so.

Also, on one counter attack, he ran into the channel beat the defender for pace and managed to get a good cross in.

He is not a 'possession-style' player but he would much more effective than Hojbjerg in a counter-attacking team because he is simply more athletic and can move the ball faster. It was in his feet and out again.

In addition to having more athleticism and moving the ball, he is much better than Skipp or PEH with late runs in the box and is a very good header of the ball both offensively and defensively.

Starting for Juve again today. Seems a consistent starter now. Can’t see why they would move him on

Will say having someone like McKennie in a side that has Traore would be lovely. Late arriving into the box to clean up Traore crosses.

McKennie is a funny player, he'd probably be suited to a 3-5-2 more than a 3-4-3, can pass sure but more of an arrive late and score type of player.

He’s first XI for Juve. Doubt they’ll want to sell. But i’d offer a Ndombele or Tanganga + cash swap tonight

Rather we go for Arthur if possible.
He was a top quality prospect 2 or 3 years ago. Appears to have lost his way a bit but I think he could be decent for us as a deep lying tempo setter.

What I would say though is that we need thrust and dynamism through the middle and Arthur wouldn't provide that. He is very much in the mould of what we already have in terms of athleticism.

Still not convinced he’s a “just pay the money” type upgrade - unlike say Vlahovic.
What I meant buy that is Juve are clearly in need of money.

My guess is that they probably dont want any if our cast offs in exchange.
