I have absolutely no idea about the lad as a player, and I've no doubt you've already been answered by now anyway.

However. With the greatest of respect to our American members (there are many, but even they'll understand where I'm coming from) Could I ask, why on earth did you think people would be hyped by a link to an American player?

Because I remember how mental all the yanks went when we signed Dempsey.

I really like McKennie at that price. It’s all relative. The xG addition alone from having him on set pieces and corners, particularly against mid table and lower league teams, is worth 25-30 million.

That said, if this is the result of an N’Dombele swap, Kessie is a much better fit for what this squad desperately needs right now. If Kessie is legitimately available and ACM are interested in N’Dombele we can’t possibly pass that up for McKinnie.

He’s perfect for the Prem. I think he would be the most complete box to box in our squad. He’s a threat at both ends and a leader. Straw that stirs the drink for the US National Team

Well that’s disappointing.
I’m more disappointed to see Romano shoot down McKennie than Aouar. I think his development at Juve was immense and he’d be a top top addition for us.

He’s a very physical and technical player and seems destined be a huge success in the Premier League.

Hopefully nit a priority because we feel we have a better CM lined up, not because we don't see that position as a priority?

Unless we can get Sissoko, Ndombele or Winks out the door I just can’t see us signing one. Why it isn’t a priority at the moment. Same as with the defence.

I can't wait to see the back of these three players. Seriously they are impeding the improvement of the squad. And yet they are not showing to prove they are worthy to stay. Fuck these lot.

I wish we had a midfielder that could ping Huddlestone style passes. Exactly what we need playing Nuno counters.

I've noticed Davinson i
Christian Pulisic?

For my money, Gio Reyna is the one American I'd want if I could only sign one. Also, he's a bit under the radar now but Brendan Aaronson is really good. He's at RB Salzburg now getting warmed up for his inevitable move to Leipzig. Looks like Dike might be headed to Leeds. He's interesting--killed it at Barnsley last year.

Obviously him being American is part of the reason for the excitement but it’s also Bc it’s a 22yo who just finished a season as one of Juventus’ best players. Wouldn’t that typically be cause for excitement by itself?

Well it was also worst Juventus in last 10 years and their midfield were quite poor
